Review summary

There wasn't enough on board things to do with having 3 at sea days. No real games, no trivia or other such things on every deck possible. Took a Carnival cruise to Alaska and had much more fun on board while at sea because of the many games, trivia and such going on all around the ship. The music was way too loud so I couldn't enjoy sitting by the pool or at one of the pool side tables. While I may be older...I enjoy music very much but not to the point where you have to yell in someone's ear to hear them. It was strange, when the movie played in the same area...the sound was turned down. There should be crew on hand to check the children running from one end of the boat to the other. I can't even count the number of times I was almost run over. The the parents should be approached about this because they don't do anything about it. All guests should be asked to close their doors on the staterooms instead of letting them slam shut every time. Either that or fix the doors so they don't SLAM shut - it is hard to sleep at 1:30 am when door after door is slamming shut for those coming up later. Of the 4 cruises I have been on, this was ranked #4.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Was asked to go to the kitchen and give critique about the menu of the night. Tried new foods and was a great experience.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Not enough going on during at sea days.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Not enough notification as to what is going on. Should be posted along with getting the handout.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Would be nice if you could actually walk all the way around the ship instead of having to go up/down and around.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The doors to the closets should be sliding instead of open as they do because it prevents someone from coming in/out of the room. The doors have to be closed in order to accommodate someone coming in the room or from the bathroom. Would like the light switch in the bathroom instead of on the outside so in the middle of the night, a person doesn't disturb the other occupant.

Ship tip

To think twice or maybe book a different cruise line or a different ship.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

3 out of 5

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

1 out of 5
This is where the advance notice of the 45 minute one-way to the zip line excursion would have been helpful along with the knowledge of lockers available.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

3 out of 5
Did not go ashore as all excursions were only 1 - 1.50 hours long and nothing I wanted to do. Was told there was only one small shop...so why bother?

We just got off Conquest today. There was a lot of trivia every day on our 6 day cruise.

Every cruise we've been on has had plenty of trivia, so it's doubtful your cruise had no trivia. Don't cruise during spring break and you won't have to deal with kids.

there better be lots of trivia as I need to win another ship on a stick. have one from the Ectasy and Elation

I agree with the music. It doesn't have to be blasted to be enjoyed. Thankfully on the Dream last year it was at decent level. Unfortunately no cruise line can discipline bratty, disrespectful kids.

I agree, you don't need steel drums amplified
