Review summary
The dining room staff are the highlight of the trip since 99% of the time they are the most friendly, kind, helpful and fun people on the ship!!!
I also liked the Alchemy Bar as the drinks are more expensive but larger, creative and they top shelf and high quality ingredients. I love the olives and nuts snack served with the drinks however I was not offered one this time. They had their usual bartenders there and then one from another part of the ship we met earlier that day, she remembered our names and greeted us which was an excellent way to treat customers that are paying quite a bit more and expecting more.
The love and marriage show is always a highlight, don't ever miss it! Particularly the lobby band "the U-Turns" or a name very similar, were professional, had a great repertoire for all ages that really cannot be matched to other groups I have heard on board Carnival.
The Conquest is clean, efficient and the staff courteous. There are three issues that need attention on the Conquest. The show 80s was fascinating in its use of technology but particularly the singers were below par. The lead female was screechy and almost yelling with several sharp notes, one of the lead men (sang Michael Jackson) added husky, grating tones that do not belong. The 80s are an iconic and cherished time period for many cruisers (40-50ish) and the show should be sensitive to this reality. Some of the choreography lacked authenticity and sincerity almost mocking the culture of the 80s. As well with Prince just passing away, the show trivialized his contribution to music and the 80s. Secondly; the steak house. Great food, charming and polite service it is a great deal. One suggestion would be to ask the guests if they are planning on a particular time frame (as we were planning on going to the love and marriage show). We missed the show because the meal was so slowly paced. We were there from 8:30 to after 10:00. Not rushing and pacing a meal is wonderful but reading your guests and communication are even more effective regardless of the venue.
Lastly, NO SERENITY??? An Adult only area is the reason we go Carnival for a balance of lots of fun and an escape. There is an 18 and older spa (2) but the pizza line backs up into the area and that is just an invitation for children to come right on in. I enjoy children, I understand they are a part of cruising but no 21 and older AREA on the Conquest (which has a lot of unused space on the upper decks) makes me avoid those ships like the Conquest in the future.

Ship tip
Take advantage of the spa specials. Excellent value on port days and the masseur, Nana was so professional and extremely capable. They do try to get you to buy expensive products but feel free to tell them politely that you are interested AFTER you listen since they are required to do this.
