Review summary

Of the many Carnival ships I have cruised on, this trip was the most disappointing. The noise levels were very high In the passageways, cabin, and showroom.  The photo booths and jewelry displays blocked passageways to the point you had to find an alternate route.  The food in the Dining Room was below the standards I experienced on other Carnival ships, and the Lido buffets were crowded and understaffed.  Some staff members in that area were so busy that they were not able to help.  Cabin was nice and room stewards were good, but kids playing in the hall outside my cabin were so loud and misbehaving they actually knocked part of the ceiling down and blocked the passageway.  All in all, not my best cruise.

Sorry to hear about your cruise. You need a Shane, on carnival _acebook.......

we have been lucky and not had a bad cruise, but its always good to read about the bad and the good. most of all is that you make the cruise you want to make out of it. if you go with a bad impression right from the start and say that will be a bad cruise then it will be a bad cruise. you might say I am weird but I have taken 2 cruises in Hurricane season just for the feeling of a rocking ship and we have had only super great warm weather

emily0221    8 years ago

That's the whole point of a review so you can see the good and the bad, yet on here if you have something negative to say about your cruise you get bashed

emily0221    8 years ago

agreed! I'll be going on my first cruise in October and it being our honeymoon cruise we've spent thousands to go, and I expect to get what I'm paying for! I feel like the only time you can give an opinion on here is if it's good, but just because you "love carnival so much you have to defend them against every review " doesn't mean they can't make mistakes or give people bad cruises.

O yes u do pinkie - u say the same stuff in every review- I know what I am talking about , I'm not a troll - , I am a person who had 1 bad experience on this ship- and I am going to say what the review is , so glad your experience was a great. But if I was throwing 100$ a day at someone , and 5$ a drink at someone is have someone kissing my butt also.

ktolivia23    8 years ago

Clearly u have no clue what u are talking. About - there is a hotel director just like a hotel- every department has a "leader or manager" your the bizarre one

batch123    8 years ago

Misinformed managers? What managers? There are ships Officers. How are they misinformed? Misinformed about what? ...Bizarre comment.

Pinkie60    8 years ago

I don't know what ktolivia23 is talking about, I love Carnival. Haters will hate and trolls will troll.

Stick with the smaller boats. More elbow room, less people. Easier to get around the ship. Faster eating, ports, I see these huge boats with 4, 5, thousand people. Personal preference. Are they really crowded?

ktolivia23    8 years ago

Is that the management on this ship is horrible , lack of or just plain misinformed managers.

ktolivia23    8 years ago

Pinkie has an excuse for every body and everyone - despite what u may think - some of us have traveled carnival - great company , and I also have cruised on some older ships of there's. I have also cruised on Costa and royal Caribbean. The answer isn't that we are to young for this boat, or maybe we should keep our kids at home, or this is a wrong time of year? Those are all excuses, the problem

Everyone knows that carnival isn't Fancy fancy. You say you've been on many other ships before. You should know what you're getting into!

akane135    8 years ago

What I don't get is that the same cruise taken by 2 separate reviewers have 2 very different experiences. This one is complaining about the noise and the young people on the ship. And the review right before was complaining about it being too old and boring..I'm saying in 18 days and I can't wait! It's what you make it. If you go in having a negative attitude than that's what you're going to get.

Emily0221 what state are from? I'm from Florida, in October the weather is unpredictable.

emily0221    8 years ago

Well we are going on a southern Caribbean cruise and I've heard that they don't have as much bad weather as others locations do during hurricane season

USMC2004    8 years ago

Is there really adults only pool in the back of the ship? Is there a sign that says adults only?

jmutt24    8 years ago

Book Holland or Princess, less kids, less crowded.

Pinkie60    8 years ago

The only problem with October is its the height of the hurricane season and seas start become rough. If you don't mind a little rocking and rolling of the ocean you'll be ok. Also keep in mind that because there are usually storms around, your itinerary might change. That's why it's cheaper to sail in October and November. Hurricane season ends November 30th.

mikeloves2cruise    8 years ago

I would think so...im doin the conquest on dec 31..and the glory feb 4.....just because i need sun since I live in Minnesota...lol

emily0221    8 years ago

Is October a good time to cruise? We will be leaving for ours on October 1st

mikeloves2cruise    8 years ago

Thats why i try to cruise when school is in session

Pinkie60    8 years ago

However, I avoided the pool on sea days and spent a lot of time in the casino.🎉

Maybe you cruised at the wrong time of the year. Parents today do not care for their children when they are on a cruise. They do let them run wild. I don't think you can blame Carnival for that. Sorry you didn't have good time. What deck and cabin were you in? I sailed on her in July and was on deck 9 in the Captains suite and had no problem with the little ones (cont)

emily0221    8 years ago

What deck were you staying on
