Review summary

For the most part, this was a disappointing cruise.

What we enjoyed:

*Seems the only saving grace was that we were able to spend time with our sons and family.

*Once we got ashore, Jamaica and the Caymans were wonderful.

What we found not so enjoyable:

*We have been on many cruises, most with Carnival.  The food preparation on Conquest was the worst yet.  When, after 2 evening meals in the Renoir Dining Room, you make it a point to get a burger at Guy's because you expect mediocrity at dinner, something is wrong.

*We do expect on a large ship that the lines will be long at times.  However, these lines were exaggerated by the poor organization, both onboard and ashore.  For example - it appeared that nobody at the Cayman 'Fleet Landing' either a) was in charge, or b) had a clue what was going on.  This was exasperated by the heat (expected) and lack of facilities (not really expected).

The Dining Room and cabin staffs were wonderful.

We have sailed with Carnival several times.  We are compelled to say that the last 2 trips in particular have lived up to neither our expectations nor Carnival's reputation.

Holley Ayers, our travel guru, was also wonderful!

Agree is the disorganization that's going to kill this boat

Having a suite meant we were on first, but I've was on the Estacy last Aug in a reg view room and the lines moved fast. We barely waited. Sorry your cruise wasnt good. We had nothing but a fantastic time Jun 13-18. The lines were long getting back on , but We were on about 2 hours before leaving which made the ship almost ours..... No lines for lunch or drinks at bar

I sailed on Conquest this past May. Getting on and off the ship was a nightmare. Lines were so long, people were passing out. We were late leaving every island because of this. Staff at times were rude and acted like this was the passengers fault. Got charged for liquor that we did not drink. Be sure and call if this happens to you. Food was just average at best. We have been on 9 cruises.

Some nights I am good with just having the soup, a salad and a couple of appetizers. 😊

My last cruise was in September 2014 on Liberty and I had no complaints. Double apps and entrees every night. Lol.

Maybe the reason the quality of food on Carnival has dropped in the last few years is to steer everyone towards the specialty restaurants so they can make more money!!

We were on the conquist and the only thing I did not Like was the fried chicken.

I really think it's the American Table menu. Some nights was good and other nights was poor.

That's a shame. Food quality is extremely important to me on a cruise, without paying additional. I like the Main Dining rooms. That is why I go Carnival. I hope this is isolated or improved by the time I go. Which is an eternity away. Lol

The Point steakhouse on the Conquest was awesome! Best meal we had! Pay the extra $70. It was well worth it!

I was on the Glory in March, fantastic food in the main dining room. A little hint of advice, when using the buffet, walk past the 1st one and continue to the 2nd one towards the back of the ship. Much greater variety, and the food was good.

I agree on the food, but that seems to be since they changed to the American table on all ships. We ate at steakhouse and it was comparable to any good steak houses in.ststes. the buffets were bland. We will see how the Glory stake up we will be on her in 37 days.
