Review summary

Our cruise experience with Carnival had many ups with only a couple downs. We enjoyed the new amenities but there were so many people on the ship it was sometimes too overwhelming. It was difficult to enjoy sometimes because of the crowds.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was ok, with it being our first time on Carnival it was somewhat frustrating to figure out where to go and what to do while we waited on our rooms.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The ship's dining options were decent. There were a few nights we got some under done chicken, but as the days went on the food got better. The staff was very attentive and the decor and visual experience was dynamic. The buffets seemed to offer the same as the dining room which was a turn off. More free options would of been nice. There was nowhere to get extra desserts and pastries once the Lido deck was closed unless you wanted to pay for it.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed all the pools and fitness areas, the roller coaster was a nice touch. We had fun most days on the trip. I wish there was a bigger adult only area. The kids took over many of the pool locations.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The comedy shows and game shows were our favorite entertainment. There were some great comedians and musical performers as well.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was fabulous

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There was never a dirty bathroom or non-maintained area, everything was great.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin offered enough room to move around and the balcony was spacious. The bathroom was a bit tight but it worked.

Ship tip

One piece of advice would be if you know you will want to drink on board, get the drink package. The lemonade and tea offering got boring after a while. They charge service fees for each drink you get so it can get pricey!

Disembarkation

There were very long lines and people everywhere. It was the worst part of the cruise experience.
