Review summary

Overall, our family and friends' trip of 28 people went very well, everyone had a really nice time.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
It didn't happen to me but outside the terminal, there was a staff member standing at the opening of a roped off area. She was visibly frustrated and yelling at passengers to have their travel documents ready. In the future, it would be helpful to have signage so that passengers know what to expect. Upon entering the staffing checking us in wasn't friendly - no greeting, no thank you for sailing with us, no have a nice trip - nothing.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
For the size of the ship, the buffet area was small with limited selections. We had great seating in the main dining and the food was okay. Our wait staff was great! Guy's Burger was the only specialty restaurant we eat at. The burger was great - long line but it moved.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Attended several shows in the theater and comedy club. Was able to get my seating of choice every time. Recommend not waiting until show time, go when the doors open. My husband went to the gym and thought it was small/congested. We had a great couples massage.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We loved the showed we attended and the performers.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We didn't see our room steward much, but when we did, he was very friendly. The suite was always serviced to our standards. Our wait staff was very friendly and engaging. In general, ship personnel aren't as friendly as Royal Caribbean. On Royal, everyone makes you feel welcomed.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I loved the size of the room and have decided that I will do nothing lower than a suite moving forward. There was plenty of space and with two TVs, my husband and I could watch what we wanted. They offered a lot of free movies - ones you'd want to watch. The bed was firm which made sleeping difficult for me, but my husband loved it. Loads of space on the vanity, enough outlets that I didn't have to use my extender. And the double closets allowed us to have our own spaces! Shower was large enough for two. The sink was large and there was plenty of counter space and shelving for our things.

Ship tip

Not all cruise lines are the same. We had to manage (lower) our expectations when it came to staff friendliness.
