Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Was very disappointed in the food, especially in the main dinning hall. Small portions, not great options. You expect to try new things on a cruise but the new things were very limited. I stopped going to the main dinning hall after day 3 on my 7 day cruise. The food in the Lido cafeteria is the same food chooses you have in the main dinning hall minus the appetizer and desserts. The cruise needs more after hour good choices and not have a break in food except pizza after 10-11:30 when the late night buffet opens. Last full day I went to the deli and the bread was so hard I could not eat it. On the plus side, the sushi and hibachi restaurants we A++!

Onboard Activities

Lots of options to keep you busy. We went to a lot of trivia and the questions definitely need to be updated to modern day questions.

Great talent on the ship !

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Everyone was so nice and personable except our main dinning hall head waiter. I’ve been on many a cruises and always have had a wonderful experience in the main dinning hall and great rapport with the wait staff however on this one, our main waiter, seemed like he hated his job, never once introduced himself. Like I said in my post I stopped going 3 days into my cruise because of the food, however I must say if I had a great rapport with our waiter which I have had on all cruises in the past, we might have kept going to see the waiters.

Ship Quality

Cruise was cleaned and our Room Steward, Jamal was amazing ! It always amazing me how they remember everyone’s name. The ship needs AC in the elevators!

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved the cabins. Don’t like that you have to put your card in the slot to turn the lights on and have the AC to run. Little pointer. I tore up a piece of cardboard and put it in the slot and it worked perfectly.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Did not book an excursion. But got off the boat and turned left and walked up to the fort. It was well worth it. We did not go in the fort because it was $10.00 to get in. Loved the fountain you pass on the way to the castle. Picture attached.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

To commercialized. The shops all sell the same and there is no place to buy authentic St Thomas items. We did not have an excursion.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Disembarkation

Uncontrolled chaos is how I describe it. After Diamond and up leave, everyone is suppose to wait their section is called but it does not happen. Looking forward to becoming a Diamond VIFP so I don’t have to go through the uncontrolled chaos to get off the ship !
