Review summary

All the venues are small so please plan accordingly. The spa was the best thing I did. Take advantage of the port day prices. Also, if you forget or don’t have time to do a beauty service (hair, nails, etc) at home, book at the spa. I received one of the best pedicures for the same price at home. It’s a new ship and lots to do. This was my first solo cruise and it was such an amazing experience. Don’t be afraid to travel by yourself. It’s safe and fun!

Very fast! Especially since I just turned platinum on this cruise. I was onboard in less than 10 minutes.

The food was good. There were some days during the seaday brunch when my food wasn’t what I ordered and cold. But I charged it to the abundance of diners during that time. Street Eats was amazing and the dining room food. A major upgrade from the food last year.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

I didn’t do an excursion through Carnival. I walked outside of the port to the beach. I do not recommend anyone to do that. It’s confusing as to which road to go down and the reception is nonexistent. There is no one around to help guide and it’s a really far walk (15,000+ steps one way). Take a taxi. There is a really nice bird sanctuary at port that you can see for $14. I highly recommend doing that and staying close to the ship.

Wonderful port. The excursion through Carnival was definitely great. Only 16 of us at the beach. Amazing food and drinks.

There is a lot to do and see here. Come at least a day early and go to Bayside Marketplace.

This was the best port out of all the ports. Go to the Mayan Princess Hotel for a beach trip and lunch.
