We booked this cruise about a month before and instantly regretted it when we got on board. The ship was booked till 120%. 6450. For the same money we could have gone on a Oasis ship with a classier crowd. We gave Carnival another try after a 3 year hiatus but sadly same result. We will stick to NCL ,RCL and Celebrity.

Since so many passengers they were overworked. Room Stewart was great
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Beautiful ship, just way to many people so elevators constantly overloaded and had to wait for any elevator to squeeze into constantly.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony cabin and it was small. Bathroom were small and smelled constantly. Compared to other cruiselines this was disappointing.
Ship tip
Don't go. Our sailing has 6450 people. Way to many for that size ship. Everything was crowded and dining had waits of up to 2 hrs. Very disappointing cruise Sad because it's a new beautiful ship.
@TNTGreen..We had My Time Dining. It was not clear to us that going at 6 would be seated right away but then what's the point of My Time Dining if you can't go at the time you want?
100%occupancy is every cabin with 2 people. 120%is standard and the new ICON of the Seas is set up for 135% IIRC.
100%capacity is every lifeboat seat filled. This is never exceeded.
The news flash here is that apparently the other cruise lines aren't actually also sold to and beyond capacity in the middle of summer with all the same issues this brings. This will certainly be news to their stockholders.
Did you have assigned dining or Your Time? If you did not have YTD if you wanted to eat in a specialty restaurant (Cucina, Chibang, etc) they won’t seat you until 7:30pm. If you wanted to go to Chibang at 6pm with YTD you would just request it on the app.
