My friends I went with 1 was dieing to go back to st Thomas so that’s why we picked this peticular cruise it her 2 kids were first timers so they really enjoyed themselves but they think it was too big a ship. The 2 experienced cruisers in the group though it was ok kinda meh didn’t meet expectations of being the biggest and newer ship of the fleet and wasn’t quite worth the expensive price tag of the trip. Carnival has lost some of the luster and steam they had years ago a lot of the crew feel like they were just going threw the motions pulling in as much effort as required by there contract

Was pretty hectic at embarkation but they didn’t make us wait in the hot sun got to wait in the building had to wait till the very end of the numbers called cause immediately afterwords they called everybody else

The buffets were lack luster was expecting a more from it being the flagship of carnival breakfast was the same every morning and didn my see any bacon expect in formal dining room so that hurt last day at sea no pancakes 😓 for the price they can afford to give you more than 2 pieces of bacon an order. The lobster and lasagna nights were good I enjoyed those

Went to cucina del capitano on the last night ment to get there earlier but wasn’t a bad wait the ppl I was with really loved the bread. I had the nonnas meatballs pretty good but it was 1 singular meatball so grammatically wrong had the chicken Parmesan was a pretty good size breast bout the same as olives gardens giant chicken park promotion they had really tasty
Onboard Activities

Was missing a few old faithful activities like the hairy chest competition which was funny. The main problem is production were mostly in center stage is is laughably small compared to the size of the ship and number of ppl. Needed more fun squad activities. I’m ready for new shows saw 2 of the show back in janurary of 2020 on horizon celestrial strings and amor Cubano. Some of the trivia needs clearer speakers some of my party had trouble understanding the host at times. it’s kinda nit picky but I really missed having marvels/superhero trivia’s
Entertainment

The problems were about average DJ seemed to play same sounds at every party. Tired of seeing amor cubano was 3rd time and 2nd for celestial strings both on a previous ship back in early 2020. 2 of my group walked out on most magnificent circus so it was average. The guy I will give props to is the ice carver he did good. Did enjoy finally getting to see ant man and the wasp quantummania and dungeons and dragons honor among thieves.

We were supposed to be 5 aclock dining but then got moved to your time so had different waiters every night a few times they got mixed up on order and on lasagna night completely ignored a request for another drink and an entree. The one thing I did miss was waiters comming around before and during shop bringing you drinks
Ship Quality

The design gave me a lot of questions and a lot of why?? The central area was much too small for the amount of ppl and the clubs and lounges were no bigger than ships with half as many ppl. The theater was pretty small for a ship they can hold over 6000 ppl I’ve seen bigger ones of older smaller ships. The fact that’s all the fun shops wern’t together was a strange choice. The cleanliness was not an issue on this cruise you save stuff laying around as with any cruise but it seemed to be picked up and cleaned fairly quickly
Cabin / Stateroom

Was what you expected from an interior room everything was average lvl did have a foul smell one day but the room steward quickly showed up to remedy it
Ship tip
Be prepared to wait awhile for food or coffee unless in port and shows don’t go on opening night 30 mins ahead is not enough time ahead
St Thomas was pretty nice went to a lookout point for pictures of the ship then mountain top for more pictures and shopping then went to Mayans bay for some beach time was crowded but it’s summer. Then got dropped off for shopping did feel a little forced to go to the jewelry store party downtown.
Puerto Rico was pretty fun our group split up here though me and 1 other went to the fortresses of old San Juan while the other 3 went surfing. The forts was pretty great picture spot with lots of history. The surfing was rough but that’s because they were beginners so no fault there then we had plenty of time to meet back up and shop for souvenirs.
