A beautiful ship with a design departure from older CCL ships. We enjoyed the spread out layout. The lack of seating in the Theater and Central Stage is disappointing. Multiple restaurants and food options is refreshing. There were different pool and relaxation areas.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The MDR was very good. The waiters did their best, but are understaffed. The food was good. All the specialty restaurants were very good, especially Shaq's. The chicken was crisp on the outside and juicy inside. The Lido is broken up into small stations and specialty booths. Didn't seem to be as congested. There was ample seating.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The main theater and the Central stage are way under sized for a ship this large. If you didnt get a seat an hour or more before show, you were out of luck. The Circus Arial show was cancelled both nights. There are many more pools and hot tubs and lounge chairs all over. The Serenity deck fills up early. So many trying to reserve with towels early and not showing up for hours. CCL needs to be more proactive in enforcing their own rules. The BOLT is amazing and frightning.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service was mostly excellent. Carnival is still understaffing the MDR, lido and housekeeping. With that said, they all did an amazing job.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Love that the bars, eating venues, shops and other attractions are spread out over several decks. Congestion is greatly reduced. The crew were constantly wiping down, dusting and mopping the common areas. Very clean ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabins are more narrow but longer. This makes the bathroom rather small. Three feet by four feet excluding shower. Nice size shower with glass door. No cold curtain sticking to you butt. The closets are bigger with adjustable shelves, 2 slide out baskets, a slide out shoe drawer an much better hangers. The safe can be 4-6 digit or card operated. The sliding door to balcony is fantastic. The lighting is vastly improved. Big tv, great mini fridge(not a refrigerator, only cools). Ample 120v and usb plugs. Overall a nice space.
Ship tip
Bring your walking shoes and fitness tracker. We got in 10,000+ steps a day. Try out as many eating venues as possible. Leave your worries at home and enjoy this FUN ship.
Did a cultural excursion. Very small group (8) went to a typical DR home and learned so much about how they live. Made coffee, mofungu and had a homemade local ice dessert. Our guide, Frank, is a local. He grew up in the area and was so knowledgeable. This is a bucket list type excursion.
We rode tram up to top and got a great view of ships and harbor. A beautiful rainbow appeared and touched down on tht Legend. Went to pirate museum. Interesting.
