Review summary

We really enjoyed ourselves. There is something for everyone on the ship, and the excursions were well-run and enjoyable. The staff was great, and we had a wonderful time.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We basically walked right on the ship. No long lines, no problems. Parking was a nightmare, though

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food itself was excellent, but the specialty restaurants could be kind of slow

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools were very cold, so we did not spend much time in them, but the waterslides were very fun (the lines were a little chaotic, so make it known at the beginning which one you are in line for) and everyone enjoyed the ropes course, gym, and of course, the Bolt. The system is excellent for Bolt, but book it early so you don't get shut out on the last day in case of high winds.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Lee was an excellent cruise director. He was a lot of fun with so much energy. We appreciated the variety in comedians, who were all very fun. The only complaint we had was the circus show. Finding seating that allowed us to see what was going on was a nightmare, and we got there an hour early. We thought we had good seats until random people just stood in front of us and blocked our view. It was really disappointing, because we did not get the full experience. I think having a system like Bolt where people could book seats would help a lot.

Children's Programs

We did not travel with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly and attentive. We loved the magician in the dining room, and of course our cabin steward was phenomenal. He was very on top of things, knew everyone's names immediately, and really took care of us. Thank you, Herald!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It was very clean, and we appreciated the signage to aft and forward since we got turned around a lot.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
There wasn't a whole lot of room to walk around, but the cabin was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The soft lighting was great for when one person wanted to fall asleep earlier than the other person.

Ship tip

Do as many activities as you can! It's a great experience and there's so many fun things to do.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Cozumel, Mexico

We swam with manatees and sea lions for this excursion at Chankanaab National Park. It was an incredible experience, and the people were very nice. We also participated in a tequila tasting that everyone enjoyed.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
We visited Mayan Ruins at Chacchoben on this excursion. It was incredible! It's one thing to see the ruins in photos and another to be there in person. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, the bus ride was comfortable, and we had a great time.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

5 out of 5
This was by far the most naturally beautiful port we visited. We did Discover Roatán and got to cuddle with sloths, capuchin monkeys, and macaws. We also visited the Macaw Market and iguana sanctuary. It felt very authentic and our guide, Becky, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend this to anyone.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It was very fast and easy. There were hardly any lines. No complaints here
