Be prepared to wait. Carnival does everything they can to make getting on and off the ship quick, but it takes time to move 4000 people. The app is helpful, but don't depend on the chat feature. We had a lot of long delay times before people would receive our texts. It was great for keeping up with activities and such though.
We thought the Breeze was a beautiful Ship and we loved all the choices it had available for us to do. I know if we cruise again it will have to be on the Breeze or another ship that is very similar to the Breeze.
I loved the carnival breeze. My suggestion would be to get a room in the middle because most of the activities, clubs, restaurants, etc. are toward the back deck. I also suggest packing some comfy shoes to wear as you explore. I loved the cruise director, Schwartz. He was funny and highly energetic. My last suggestion would be to arrive early at whatever activity you want to do because seats fill up quickly.
Carefully plan for the money you want to spend. It was my first cruise so I was unaware of the many items I would see and want on the ship. They have shops, jewelry, a candy store (my sister overdosed on chocolate), and determine how much you plan to spend on drinks if you choose not to purchase a drink card. BTW, sodas are not free!!
Based on the "rough ride on rough seas" experience I related above, I guess people should avoid cabins near the bow of the sip (if the steward is to be believed). However, the ship ran OK when the seas were calm.
Go on Amazon and buy the all natural patches that you can put behind your ear! They last for 72 hours and are worth every penny! They are like $7 for 20 patches! They totally take away the dizziness! Put one on before boarding because the first 2 days the ship will go fast and the boat will rock
The Breeze is a beautiful ship.Im claustrophobic and worried about having an inside cabin. But I never felt uncomfortable. And there was so much to do at all times..The food is AWESOME! And the staff are there to assist you in all your needs..Are are always wearing a smile :)
Take your Yeti! The ice in the drinks melts too fast. Carnival Breeze was a great ship, with great service, accommodations, and entertainment. Food was great as well!
