Carnival Breeze was not as... by rebekkahk

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Breeze

Carnival Breeze was not as good as Carnival Triumph. Smelled cigarette smoke everywhere. The entire 11 th deck, possibly minus the serenity area was for smokers. People were smoking right outside the entrance to kids club and families standing in line to sign into kids club had to breath smoke. I couldnt even watch an entire movie on deck 10 near the pool cause the smoke would be blown down there. Could smell the smoke up on 12 th deck at Put Put and the ropes course as well. Basket ball court was never family friendly and was closed for 5 hours every day for dinner because it was built over restraunt. Teenagers and adults always took over court when open and would cuss at kids trying to play or run into kids playing that got there first. I tried playing basketball for 5 minutes and got hit in head 5 times before giving up. Staff was less personal on this ship and did not learn my name till last day which was surprising since on the Triumph the staff had learned my name and my kids names on the first day always. Staff was ok but not overly friendly like i had come to expect from other ships. The only thing that was better on this ship was the kids water area that helped keep us cool. My boys enjoyed the water slides and water play area till it would close early in the evenings. Ropes course was pretty easy and boring for kids tall enough to go on it. And kids less than 48 inches that would actually enjoy the ropes course were not allowed.

We sailed July 15-21 and... by shanlovescruzin

Sail date: /
Ship: Carnival Breeze

We sailed July 15-21 and had the best time on the Breeze! We weren’t sure if the CD would be as good as Orlando on our previous cruise, but we were pleasantly surprised and couldn’t get enough of Schwartz. We experienced lines while getting food, but on a ship that large that’s exactly what we expected. Food was good. Comedian DJ Cooch was awesome and kept us laughing! Other entertainment was top notch. This was so much fun that we have already booked next summer’s trip.

Disappointed by JinHagan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Food was not that good at all, first thing got on the boat if so we could go get some food we going to stand in the line in the market just to be told I'm sorry this one's closed after standing in that line for 15 minutes. Not once but several times during the whole Cruise. The dining room was good the food however was not all that great. the drink package is so not worth it I could have paid cash for my drinks and take less since the bars are hardly ever open.

I had a blast, as always! This was my 5th cruise. I already booked again for December! by lemadash

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I would highly suggest excursions in the Bahamas. The nearby "free beaches" are not clean or pretty. The locals at Freeport was amazingly friendly. The people in Nassau, not so much. The ship and cruise itself was amazing.

Carnival Breeze- July 8th-15th by mgreenwade

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

While I had a great time on the ship, personally I wished the evening entertainment would have had more variety. Most revolved around music, dancing and audience participation. I would have preferred a few more traditional, theatrical shows. However, the lip sync battles was AMAZING! The adult area of the ship was wonderful too. They only thing that would have made that better was if there was an adult only pool and the water slide/kid area was not right next to it.

Best First Cruise!! by caben66

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

From our cruise director, Swartz, who was hilarious and on the ball with all activities, to all the amazing dining room staff, Christian was our waiter, he and his staff were so professional and never missed a beat, to our room steward Marut that went beyond the call of duty to help us out and accommodate our needs to the entertainment and crew staff, it truly was an amazing experience for my first cruise!! We are looking to book our next one for next summer!!

The weather, the cruise, & at course Schwartz. All together you get a great cruise. Carnival breeze is the best ship on the dream class in my opinion.

The ship and staff were awesome! Wish they had more swimming pools or larger pools to accommodate more people. We went during July 4th, big mistake! Too many people. by griffin9624

Ship and crew were great as usual. Wish the pool was bigger is the only real complaint. Oh, wish the buffet had more choices.

Great family trip by scottasp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Went with family group of 14. We had 8 cabins all very close on deck eight. The last time on a dream class balcony we tried the cove. This time I found out a regular balcony overlooks an extended deck (5). You don't look straight down at the water but it was still nice. Everyone had a blast, the first two days were sea days and the vacation seemed to be going at a reasonable pace. Once we arrived at the first port and had 3 port days in a row the time flew by and we just had one sea day to enjoy before it was over. One thing that was different was you were to go pick up your luggage tags and by the time I realized this all the low numbers were gone. I did speak to the lady over guest services at the diamond and platinum party and she sent #1 tags to my cabin. Service was very good everywhere. Overall we had a wonderful vacation.

We will be cruising again! Getting on and off Cruise was painless. All personnel were very courteous and helpful. Daughter loved Camp Ocean. There’s always something to do, including nothing if you choose.

Ever go on a Cruise and become part of a Wedding Party? by Hauteden

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

If you made it reading through my review this far, you may be wondering why I wrote the tag line I did. Here's the story, I'll try to keep it short. Embarkation was great, I got in my room as scheduled. I enjoy a beverage or two. At my designated dinner time I was escorted to my table for seven. I was seated at what might have been one of the best tables in the dining room. It was the best table which I had been assigned for a cruise. A window adjacent table on the port side with a tremendous view. As is not unusual for me, I was the first at my table. I delayed my ordered so I could place it with my fellow diners. But after 20 minutes of waiting I went ahead and ordered. By the end of my meal I was still the only person at my table for seven. I figured that the other diners likely attended the Steakhouse or other premium dining. The following evening I go to my table, again I am the first person seated. This night I wait about 5 minutes before placing my order so I can get a good seat at the after dinner show. One thing I haven't mentioned is my table was 'boxed' in by 3 large 10-12 person tables. After about 10 minutes of sitting I am approached by a gentleman from one of those tables. He commented how he noticed I was dining alone and asked if my party was elsewhere. I mentioned that I as cursing solo and I didn't know who else was to be seated at my table. He told me he was the Groom and the 3 tables around me were all part of the wedding party. He asked if I would like to join them and any of the tables. I politely declined as I had order food and I wanted to meet the other people assigned to my table. He understood and went back to his table. My food came and I enjoyed my meal. By the time I finished my meal, I still didn't have any other diners at my table. I was a bit concerned and ask my waiters if they knew if anyone was assigned to be dinner here. I was confused as to why as a solo cruiser I would be the only one seated at a 7-person table. After my dinner I approached the Groom and mentioned that if the offer was still good I would like to join them the following night. He response was "absolutely" and I was welcome to sit at any table. The following night I went to my table just to see if I had diners at my table again I was the first one. Some of the Wedding party had been informed I would be dining with them and invited me over. I took the time to meet them all by the end of night I didn't have all their names but I knew their relation to the Bride and Groom. For the remainder of the cruise I just sat at one of the tables of the wedding party. They were delightful and great conversation; exactly what I wanted for my dinner experience. During all this time my table, the best table, was unoccupied. This was a 7-night cruise. On the last night of the Cruise I didn't get to see the bride and groom as they were dining elsewhere. But I did sit with the wedding party and enjoyed their company. After about 20 minutes into dinner, I noticed 3 people I hadn't see before. They weaved between the Wedding Party Tables and sat at my table. I laughed and pointed it out to my new companions who also got a laugh. They didn't eat a full dinner and left after about 30 minute. I never found out if they were assigned to my table or just took it because no one was sitting there. In either case it didn't matter as I got the better end of the deal when all was said and done. There's the story, hopefully it didn't bore you. But this goes to show you can meet some pretty awesome people on a cruise.

Amazing Caribbean Cruise by renee1317

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Breeze / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Loved the cruise. Most people were nice, the activities were fun and engaging, and the ports were so cool. Some of the waitstaff and fellow passengers were rude and mocking to others. However these people were few and we did not let them ruin our vacation.
