Review summary

Food was not that good at all, first thing got on the boat if so we could go get some food we going to stand in the line in the market just to be told I'm sorry this one's closed after standing in that line for 15 minutes. Not once but several times during the whole Cruise. The dining room was good the food however was not all that great. the drink package is so not worth it I could have paid cash for my drinks and take less since the bars are hardly ever open.

Food and Dining

Bad, buffets were closed, lines for food closed while in line.

Alchemy Bar

1 out of 5

Took too long to get drinks, closed way too early should have stayed open to accommodate those that stay up late and want to drink no one wants to go to drink at 7 in the morning. That's how early you have to start even to get remotely close to your 15 drinks a day which saying no way had any intention on allowing it to happen. Don't buy the drink package you will spend less if you pay cash.

Guy's Burger Joint

1 out of 5

The burgers are nasty, guy needs to go back on there and teach them how to cook a hamburger correctly.

Piano Bar 88

This was good however once again took too long to get your drink.

Blush Dining Room

3 out of 5

The service was good our server name Alex was the best the food however was not all that great by no means.

Fahrenheit 555

Ship tip

Don't buy the cheers package you will never get that many drinks a day unless you're drinking from 8 in the morning until 10:00 at night. The bars close way too early, they should not have ever closed. It takes too long to get your drink after ordering it, takes every bit of 15 to 20 minutes to get your drink that you already ordered and sign for, was not worth it by no means was it worth it. I could have paid cash and paid a lot less than $697 for two people

You seem really hard to please maybe cruising is not for you maybe try all inclusive next time

When you first boarded the ship they would of given you a Fun Times which lists the times all of the eateries are open (Lido, Blue Iguana, Guys BBQ, etc) as well as the Bars Times. If you chose to go outside of the posted times then that’s on you.

We never had to wait on Breeze or Magic in Lines for food!!!

The Cheers package was worth it for us. I didn't drink 15 alcoholic drinks, but with wine, frozen drinks, bottled water and specialty coffees it was worth it. I didn't like the buffet on the Breeze, so I ate at other places.

The lines for the buffet aren't bad at all. Our July 1st cruise on the Breeze (second time sailing her) had no issues. Breakfast is the busiest in my opinion. Guys Burgers is our favorite and super fast. Make sure to hit up Cucina El Capitano for their free pasta bar at lunch. You can even get it to go.

If the lido buffet is closed there is always the deli, pizza, ice cream or guys burgers room service. You never go hungry

Sorry about your experience but I cant agree with you because there is always food. The deli is wonderful an of course the dining room is whatever a person chooses. We were on the breeze in Feb an returning in 12 days. The bars are open all the time. Of course day one is crazy at the beginning but thats the fun of a cruise to check places out an see where eating areas are plus the drinking areas. Stay optimistic an the family will enjoy how much fun there is from day one to the last day.

Everyone’s perception of a cruise is different. I highly doubt the bars are hardly ever open, as this is how they really make their money. I agree about the Cheers drink package, though, because we never drink enough to make it worth the cost. It has a 15 drink limit per day, and the hubby and I laugh at that, as it is pushing it for us to hit 3 drinks in a day! The issue of lines at the buffet really worries me, as I’m booked on 2 Carnival cruises and have not experienced that on my Royal and NCL cruises. Their buffets were set up as “stations”. You just go to whatever station you want. Fingers crossed for a good experience.

The times that the food venues are open are published in the Fun Times. Perhaps you should have reviewed this before complaining about the times of the food venues. Also, prior to purchasing the drink package, it is up to every individual cruiser to evaluate and determine whether it is a good deal for them. It's not up to Carnival to decide this for you.
