This was our first Carnival cruise. It was the most crowded feeling ship I've been on. I think a lot of that came from the strange layout and the small, slow elevators. But it was also difficult to find a seat at any bar and every meal was met with cramped lines wrapping around nearby seating areas.
We did have an overall nice time, but it really felt like paying a little more for a different cruise line would have been worth it.

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Extremely long lines at all food venues and at all times of the day. The buffet hours were very limited, so we were often forced to use the specialty venues, like the pizza, burger, and deli locations.
The highlights of the food options were the dining room, which typically was easy to get a table in, and the sushi restaurant. Despite being an up-charge, every time we ate sushi or had it delivered, it was excellent. I cannot rate Bonsai Sushi highly enough.

Entertainment

The shows were good, i found the outdoor music/DJs to be extremely loud. they could be heard from several decks away and made it impossible to hear anything if you were in the same location
Children's Programs

Our son loved Camp Ocean, and it allowed us a chance to get some time to ourselves
Service and Staff

waiters and stewards were great. staff in other areas, like guest services and specialty restaurants were less so
Ship Quality

The ship was clean enough. There was noticeable rust in a lot of areas both inside and outside our cabin, but that didn't bother me
Personally, i found the layout of the ship to be quite strange. The dining room was in the middle of the ship spanning two main decks, so if you wanted to go from the front to the back of the ship on one of those decks, you had to go up or downstairs first, then back. The buffet was also located between the two pools, causing a lot of back and forth traffic in a location that was already cramped.
Cabin / Stateroom

Mentioned earlier, there was a sock, underwear, and a lot of hair left over from the previous guests in our cabin. Other than that, there seemed to be a shortage of storage. There were 3 small drawers, and two small closets with no shelves.
We selected the express disembarkation, meaning we would carry our own luggage with the benefit of getting to leave first. However, by the time our muster station was called for express exits, literally ALL of the regular disembarkation guests were free to leave as well. we had zero benefit to carrying our luggage, and had to wait in an enourmous line to leave while carrying everything ourselves.
