Review summary

Our experience would have been better if they would have taken care of us in a good way when chasing rooms. It started out much needed vacation on a sour note.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Escalator and elevator broken. Had to drag our luggage up stairs with water.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
As expected. Some really good, others not so much

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Spa pass was great. Had to argue with manager to agree with prices posted on the Hub app. Not much else to do except gamble. I don’t.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The one Stage show was good. But the comedian was not family friendly, even early show.

Children's Programs

None with us

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All were great except guest services. Our first room (one night) had faulty a/c and there was a group of wires outside our balcony that continually kept us from our balcony. Guest services made me feel like a criminal for wanting to change rooms. No apology or compensation. Very disappointed! Left a bad taste in my mouth.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The boat was clean, but is very choppy and a bit run down. We were always on the wrong side of the elevators and had to go back up, walk to the other side and down again. The flow is awkward.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We changed to 7320 the 2nd day. Other than the drain in shower being plugged, the room was great.

Ship tip

Chose another ship. I’ve been on the Vista and on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. Both were nicer.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Beautiful, but very over priced.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

4 out of 5
Beautiful and more reasonable in price.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
So swift and efficient

Thank you for your review

Javawoody. Id agree that Progreso is generally cheaper the Cozumel. The Technnotel (which includes transportation) is much cheaper than Sancho's. But who would ever claim the experience is even close?

Appreciate the review. Did not understand the price of ports

I'm still wondering about the wires

dscampos12    2 years ago

What room had the AC and wire issues? Don't want to have the same issues. Thanks for your review!

My 2nd cruise was on the breeze and it was awesome. My fav ship so far.

I think she's referring to the escalator in the cruise terminal.

I do not recall the Breeze having an escalator 🤔. During embarkation time the elevators are usually out of service to the checked luggage to be delivered to rooms. Something you could have done, especially with water. Sorry your choices started off your cruise on a bad note

You had to drag your luggage up the stairs with water....it was your choice to not check in luggage & how were you able to take water on the ship?? If it was cans, then it was the same as for others taking drinks, personal choice no fault of the cruise line or ship

Thanks for the review. Sorry you didn’t have a better cruise.

Escalator? Seems like your bad experience started even before getting on board

Appreciate your feedback. When did the Breeze get an escalator? We usually take the stairs on embarkation day because the elevators are being used to get luggage to the cabins.
