Fewer passengers made for a nicer cruise. Since the ship is NOT at full capacity it becomes more convenient getting around the ship. Seats are available just about everywhere along with getting an elevator.
It is nice to be able to go cruising again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The flow was very nice and almost a walk on. We had an issue with our vaccine card where the Lot Number was printed on them for the first shots. Once this was resolved we where on the boat in no time.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
There was plenty of food. We do eat in the main dinning. We opted for the early dinning for the first time. The staff were very nice, courteous and friendly. They did a supper job.
The buffets were well stocked and easily navigated to pick and choose from.
Unfortunately, we did NOT try any specialty dinning on this trip but from conversations with others, they ranked them highly.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We went down the slides several times along with sitting in the hot tubs. The kid in us enjoyed them.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We went to several of the performing shows and enjoyed them. The performers did a wonderful job with their theatrical flair and singing. The theater had plenty of room for people to sit comfortably from each other. The seats themselves are a little uncomfortable for me however, the wife did NOT have any issues. This is more my issue than the seats themselves as I cant sit for longer periods.
We did the comedy club just about every night and enjoyed listening and interacting with the comedian.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone onboard was very courteous and friendly. We got a good morning, afternoon, or evening from just about everyone on the staff.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The room was always kept nice and clean. Lounge areas were being kept clean from plates, cups and things very quickly.
There was never a problem getting an elevator or getting from one end of the ship to the other.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Overall the room was roomy enough for the two of us. Getting in and out of the bathroom was a little tight when two are getting ready but is still very doable. The railing on the balcony is just in front of my eyesight so looking directly at the horizon was a little slumpy. The wife did NOT have this as an issue.
The bed was comfortable enough to sleep in with plenty of room for the two of us.
Ship tip
Check your vaccine card for having all the necessary Shot details already on it.
We did NOT do any excursions but did get out and walk around the port area. We have been there multiple times and was the same. Everyone at the shops were friendly and willing to help you.
We did NOT do any excursions but did get out and walk around the port area. It hasn't changed much over the years. Everyone at the shops were friendly and willing to help you. It is a little small but in a comfortable way concerning getting around shopping.
The ship performed a rescue prior to the return to Galveston resulting in the ship being delayed. Overall, once we got going, all ran smooth getting off the ship
