We are avid cruisers, and this was our first one back from the 18-month shut down. We have more booked for next year, and shall do our part to help Carnival sail well again! The ship was excellent, as was the crew, the food, the experience. We will be sailing on the Breeze 4 more times in 2022, and in all those times, we will have others with us, including lots of new cruisers. We can't wait!

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
All were clean, offering great food, ugh, I ate too much, but the calories are worth it! We enjoyed the Steakhouse, the Blush Dining Room, Guy's Burgers and the Lido Dining.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed time in the pools, watching the evening movie on the Lido deck, I enjoyed my time in the fitness center and track, we loved the art gallery and art auction (spent more on art than we did on our cruise fee), we also were in the theater multiple times.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The shows were excellent, and our cruise director, Cousin Cookie, was hilarious.
Children's Programs
Camp Ocean is not happening until kids can get vaccinated. C'mon, FDA, CDC and Phizer!!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
They could not have done better! A special shout out to our cabin steward Yoga on deck 6 of the Breeze, and to our dining waiters Jorge, Erwin and Putra! They were excellent, friendly, professional, working their tails off, fun to be around.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
It could not have been cleaner! And it was good to see crew constantly taking care of it!
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was very enjoyable! Our "cooler" (not fridge, people!) was not working, we called that in, and they brought another one, lickity-split. Wow!
Ship tip
Bring these items with you: at least one (if not two) non-surge protected power strips, with a 20-foot office extension chord, air freshener for the bathroom, magnetic hooks, a hanging cloth shoe rack, empty sports bottles for excursions, sunscreen, Tums, and thank-you notes for your wait staff and cabin steward, plus $10 for each waiter, $20 for cabin steward (or more).
We went to Paradise Beach and LOVED IT again!! They have a great location, great food and drinks, great pool, awesome service, plenty of stuff to do. I cannot recommend them enough!
Progreso VIP All Inclusive Silcer Beach Club Excursion- This one was very close to the ship! 5 miles away! You can see the ship from where we are. Much less travel time, more time for vacation! The guides, Fernando and Bianca, did a great job guiding us, helping us feel welcome, and answering our questions. The location is beautiful and relaxing. Great for collecting small, gorgeous sea shells! Just be sure they are not occupied before you take them with you! The food was really good, and we especially enjoyed the Pina caladas. The service was on-point, the bathrooms clean, the facilities in good shape. The one draw back was the number of beggars and traveling vendors that came by the beach club perimeter. If we do this again, we will sit in the fourth row from the rope perimeter. If you sit in the first row, they will stare at you, or come up to you and really push you to buy or donate. One gentleman was playing a guitar, walked onto the club property, and played in front of us while we were reading (we did not make eye contact or give any indication we wanted his services), and after he was finished, he demanded we pay him for his musical performance. We packed up our stuff and went to the pool. Look, I get it. People are desperate and hungry. We bought from two of the 18 vendors who came by. Yes, it wasn't a few throughout the day, it was a lot. We may be Americans, but that doesn't mean we can give money to every single person who comes by. We have budgets and limited cash. I wish the staff had been a bit more intentional about enforcing their private property, and not allowing vendors and beggars to harass their guests. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars, because they earned it in all the other categories.
Overall: smooth! We enjoyed hanging in the Red Frog Pub. Word of advice: Pay attention to where and when to get your luggage tags, and be there early in line (20 minutes before they call it) to get your disembarkation zone tags. And WOW! Port of Galveston did upgrading! They are no longer using human agents to check your passport as you exit the terminal; now it is computers with facial recognition. Slightly big-brother creepy, but much more efficient! That made the disembarkation much smoother and quicker!
