Review summary

Didn’t get started right. We were Elite and had no name plate on the door. We’re charged for laundry and room service and had to go to guest services to have it removed. Guest service people had no clue we were supposed to not be charged. They had to call the casino. Very rude service at guest services. They need more training.

Food was good on some days bad on others. Very disappointed with Thanksgiving dinner. MDR processed deli turkey with hot gravy. Dark meat was processed too. In a roll ground up with spinach in the middle. Sent it back. Should have went to the buffet. They had real turkey. Felt like I missed Thanksgiving.

I’d be more concerned about the bug bites. Last thing you want to deal with is the possibility of bed bugs. Yuck.

@gwright1129...on an elite cruise you are given platinum status for the duration. That should include all of the perks, even the free laundry. We have done two elite cruises and have never had a problem getting those perks. They probably should have complained to the casino hosts, who take care of everything for the elite guests. They could have easily gotten the charges removed.

You definitely missed Thanksgiving, lol. Not sure how worried I'd be about my Thanksgiving meal being all traditional if I was on a cruise. Think I'm going to start requesting my name on the door also so everyone knows when I'm on the ship. I will also request I get announced as I make my entrance into the ships lobby in case they don't walk by my door. The Lord of Traffic has boarded the Vista! Let it be known the Lord of Traffic has arrived!

Carnival doesn’t put names on your door. Elite must be through something besides Carnival direct (casino maybe or a select group) because that isn’t a Carnival category ( it is a Princess category). Sorry things didn’t go as you expected.

Nice Thanksgiving Vacation

The cruise was enjoyable with the exception of Dining @ Sapphire Lower Deck 3, on Thanksgiving Day, the turkey meal was a disaster: turkley was overcooked, dressing was a "cream of dressing, yams was not fully cook, and cramberry sauce was a "dot".
