All in all, it wasn't a BAD cruise---just OK. We LOVE Royal Caribbean. We have cruised Carnival before and always say -never again---but this was an itinerary we liked and the price of the suite was reasonable. But, we spent the cruise comparing Carnival to Royal (I know, we shouldn't) and found it just not to our taste. But to each his own--nothing terrible about the Breeze.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Easy--we had priority boarding--but we did arrive around 11:30 and the parking garage was already almost filled. We had to park on the roof.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Liked Guy's Burger place and the Seafood Shack. We like buffets and this one was very limited in choices. The food was barely warm and the actual layout of the buffet area (areas) seemed awkward.
Onboard Activities

One thing my husband (and I) enjoyed was Carnival's salute to veterans. It was held in the large theater and was attended by a very large group. Patriotic music, recognition of vets by branch of service and when they served, vets allowed to share stories and a group photo on stage. Very well done.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Loved the comedians--both very funny. We went to the first production show--a Country/Western theme--which we enjoy and thought it was pretty bad. Didn't go back to any other shows, other than the marriage show, which was very enjoyable and funny.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Our cabin steward was wonderful--cabin was always clean, bed made (or unmade), bathroom spotless and cute towel animals. In the buffet, we are used to Royal Caribbean, where staff comes around with coffee, drinks, even samples of food---but here, the staff was mainly concerned with cleaning tables and nothing else.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ship was clean--layout a little awkward if you didn't know which decks went from front to back. You had to go up (or down) to walk forward or back on certain decks. A bit confusing at first.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was clean. I wasn't fond of decor. The couch was orange with orange, yellow stripes on back--kind of reminded me of a circus---but that is just MY opinion. For a suite, we found it small compared to RC's junior suites, with much less storage.
I had an issue with boths ports of call, in that the pier is a VERY long walk to get ashore. I walk with a cane. Other cruise lines offer a golf cart, wheel chair assistance or shuttle to help handicapped individuals off the pier. No charge, just tip. I asked about assistance in Bermuda and Grand Turk and was told there was none. So my husband and I walked the distance off the pier--with no place to sit and rest. The port area itself if very nice with lots of shops.
Same issue here about LONG pier. Shopping area was OK--mostly jewelry. We had an excursion booked (thru Carnival) but it was cancelled---NOT Carnival's fault. Disappointed. Just a tram around the island, but sorry to miss it. No problem getting refund.
Another VERY long walk to disembark, but in general, very easy. Only problem---due to walking issues, I can't take an escalator. We we took the elevator, after a 40 minute wait. So many wheel chairs/scooters/canes. Standing for 40 minutes was difficult. But once we got to baggage pick-up--very quick and easy.
katiej512---we didn't have to wait aboard ship for an elevator that long. It was during disembarkation where all the scooters, wheelchairs, walkers and canes had to wait for ONE elevator to go down to luggage pick-up. It was a small elevator and only one wheelchair could fit at a time. Elevators aboard ship were no problem. I own a scooter and will probably need to take it on our next cruise.
I have rented a scooter for the last several cruises because walking distances is difficult even with my walker. And I have never had to wait for the elevator for 40 minutes. I am sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy your cruise as much as the others you have been on.
