Review summary

The food was terrible. The best meal we had was at the steakhouse which we had to pay extra for. They close down the majority of the food from 2:30-5:30 and when you have an 8:15 dinner reservation and a 7 year old with you they need to eat somewhere between lunch and 8:15. The free room service is nasty cold sandwiches. Even the choices of things you can pay extra for on room service are not good choices. When you book your cruise and read about the ship you find so many different things to do on board. Well, a ton of them have extra fees attached. Like the movie theater, bingo, the arcade, etc. The teenagers on board make it almost impossible to enjoy mini-golf. The pool is basically un-useable. There are two pools about the size of back yard pools for 4800 people! If you can squeeze in one of them you are elbow to elbow in a pool that is heated way too warm for the middle of the ocean. It feels like being in an overcrowded bathtub. This was our first cruise and I'm not sure cruising is for us after this experience. If we do try again it will not be on Carnival.

The servers were amazing! The food was mediocre. One night I ordered a steak cooked medium and they had to bring out three steaks because the first two were beyond well done. I didn't even mention it, the server came by and saw it for himself and insisted on taking it back.

So fun to have this as an option but the whole thing needs to be re-done. Most of the holes have ripped fabric and some were broken and taped off. I know that most of the damage is from teenagers on the ship but, they really need to put some work in to this and maybe station a security guard in the area.

Cloud 9 Spa

The massage was great but the 15 minute up-sell on products and booking more services afterward ruined my zen state.

Tides Pool

1 out of 5

So gross and over-heated. Way too small for the number of guests on board.

Beach Pool

Too small for the amount of guests on board. Heated to an uncomfortable temperature considering being in Central America.

Sorry to hear...everyone has different experiences. Perhaps if you give cruising another shot, try booking a smaller ship or schedule early dining. Take advantage of the kids camp if you want some adult time. Have been on several cruises and have had the best time ever. Hope your next experience is a positive one.

I don’t see how anyone could say there was nowhere to eat. There was food around every corner. You only had to pay for the Steak House and the Italian restaurant and it was worth every penny.

Cruising just isn't for everyone. The last cruise I was on all of us but one got sick during the trip but we still had a blast and made the best of it.

Just another one you can't satisfy. Give them a million dollars and they would still complain.

The Havana cabins are nice , but kids under 12 aren’t allowed.

I just don't think cruising will be for you. It's not everyone's cup of tea. If you do however, choose your time dining option rather than late. We cruise 5 to 6 times a year and the two things I have never experienced are hunger or boredom.

The ships that are a size down from the Breeze have an extra pool. Also, consider booking the Havana cabins on the Vista. There's a pool just for those set cabins, exclusively.

They also have 24 hours pizza , Deli until 11pm and Guys Burger until 6pm but just so you know you can expect the same on other cruise lines in which you’re paying (Royal and NCL charges for room service). Royal has Johnny Rockets which has a fee. As far as the crowds by the pool area that should be expected on any cruise line when you cruise during the summer when kids are out of school.

Were you aware they have pizza at the back of the ship 24/7 and have one of the best ham and cheese sandwiches I’ve ever tasted . Did you have water works on your ship for the little ones ?
