Review summary

This was our first cruise, and we were a bit nervous about being “stuck” for 7 days if cruising wasn’t for us. We learned that cruising is probably for everyone. There’s something for everyone to eat, see, do, etc. a lot of things we expected to be a hassle (check in, disembarking, surprise charges, etc) wound up to not be an issue because we educated ourselves about the processes before we left home. Do that, and you’re sure to have a fantastic vacation!

The lines were long and slow moving, but we expected that.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the main dining room, lido deck buffets, Blue iguana, guy’s, and the sushi option, which is a reasonable upcharge. All were fantastic. We enjoyed the 24 hour froyo, and room service, which was also 24 hour. We especially enjoyed the late night room service option because several nights we found ourselves having had so much fun we missed any dinner options. The 24 hour pizza option never looked appetizing enough to try. The Mongolian wok was not worth the wait at all. The seaday brunch wasn’t just okay, but I would do it again trying a different dish. We happened upon the chocolate extravaganza, and what a delightful accident! Check that out on your next sailing!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was so much to do! We went almost non-stop and didn’t get to do it all. I tried the ropes course and it was totally different than a course on land. The experience is exhilarating, and the impression is lasting. It was hard, but possible to find empty hot tubs. We enjoyed the pools but they aren’t very deep or long so swimming isn’t actually an option. It’s more like a place to hang out while wet.

Cruising is what you make of it. You can be as busy as you want, as relaxed as you want, impatient as you want, and so on.... Like you said, do your homework ahead of time and everything will be what you expect. People that give bad reviews are only looking for bad things to happen to them or make things seem bad.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your cruise! Hopefully you will keep trying different ships to see what they all have to offer as you cruise one port at a time!
