The wife and I both left this cruise sick, tired and worn out! Two days later still coughing and feel like death warmed over.
Embarkation

With thousands of people, Carnival needs to control lines and processing better. Two lines, left and right, no explanation, people cutting ahead of other people. It was chaos.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food was mediocre. Not bad, not great. Buffet lines are long and slow. Mongolian buffet was good food but took 20 - 30 minutes to get food cooked. The bartenders are SLOW. If they had to compete in a real work environment, they would be fired. It takes too long to get their attention and get a drink made.
Redfrog Pub

Slow service. Half shots for Mixed drinks. I've never heard of such a cheap attitude.
Onboard Activities

Pools are tiny and cold. Hot tubs are bathwater warm. I couldn't escape the noise from Lido Deck. Adult retreat area was packed with people trying to escape and find a quiet space. Bar service was almost non-existent.
Winner's Luck Casino

Deck 5 mid; what a stink hole. Cigarette smoke day and night. That smell goes everywhere and it's tough to go around the outside of the ship to avoid the stench.
Entertainment

Dancers and singers were good.
Aft Atrium

Great shows but dang the volume is too LOUD. Turn down the speakers instead of trying to cause everyone to go deaf.
Children's Programs
no kids
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Dining staff was only bright spot on this cruise; Bojan, Rene and Yuparat were outstanding! Their service was fast, friendly and appreciated. I would have rated it lower to keep the overall score down but the staff was great.
Ship Quality

I left the cruise sick and run down. The smoking on board was disgusting and could be smelled everywhere.
Cabin / Stateroom

Every night for the entire trip, we were awakened at 1am and 4am by maintenance staff on Lido deck. They were directly above our cabin, dragging chairs across the floor. Banging and clattering, playing games while they should have been working. We complained to Customer services almost everyday but the noise never stopped. The noise was totally unacceptable!
Ship tip
If you don't mind cigarette smoke, by all means take this ship. It stinks. Unlimited drink package is really not unlimited, don't buy it. Smokers on Lido deck. Slow bar service.
Ditto. This port has turned into nothing but vendors yelling and screaming at you to buy an excursion package.
There was noise and loud music everywhere! It was so disapointing.
There is no snorkeling on this island. Everything must be done by excursion at a high dollar cost.
Paid for a snorkeling excursion on the boat @ 75.00 per couple. Beach was crowed. but at least we got of the dang ship and could relax for a few hours. I would return to this location, NOT by ship, and stay at West End all inclusive.
Ok don't give up on cruising just yet, from what I've read in your review you just need to do a little bit more planning. First off remember to get a cabin deck that is between other cabin decks to eliminate your deck maintenance movement. Secondly purchase Faster to the Fun (FTTF) that way you receive priority embarkation and debarkation 😁. Lastly and most important when flying purchase vacation insurance so your protected from bad weather like fog in Galveston. Hope this helps
Wow my friend! Every single one of your posts is extremely negative. Take this as a learning experience. You should maybe rethink what you expect from your vacation or avoid cruise vacations.
