This was our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The billing was tricky to understand, but overall great value for the money. would recommend to anyone

Ship tip
treat yourself dont cheat yourself, get a balcony room, and a higher deck level, and download the carnival app. It will keep you updated on what's going on. Be ready to party with Mike he is a ton of fun!
Felt very safe. glad they make taxi drivers sign out passengers they take, and they are responsible for bringing those same people back safely. well done carnival!! We took a private taxi for the 8 hour whole day it was about $200 for 4 people, but we were not in a large group and the trip was more catered to exactly what we wanted to do.
process was very confusing and lengthy. should be a better way. If you are younger and stronger choose the carry off option. Yes, you will pack your bags around with you for a little while, but saves hours in getting off the ship!
Mike does his best to keep everyone informed and entertained
P.S. if you do a mock booking online, you will see the options to prepay your tips. Your travel agent should have mentioned that. It’s pretty common knowledge though.
I think most people prepay their tips. That’s what we always do. No surprises. Same with paying. We use a credit card, not debit. I’d recommend first time cruisers do some research. Carnival used to have a fantastic forum for questions, but they ended it.
So I was under the impression that they will deduct the deposit amount and then charge as we go for what was spent. they basically do a temp hold on the deposit ($200) and then release it a few days later, do another temp hold once you go over $100 in on board spending, and that too is released, and after the cruise they charge the entire amount spent after you return as one final payment. There is also at gratuity of $90 per person that will apply to your account as well.
(The guys deserve it, but my travel agent did not mention) I recommend funding your account with cash on the ship at guest services or atm type kiosk to better track your spending.
