Review summary

The worst trip I ever token....(never again)...The Carnival Breeze ruined that for us. All they thought was about money. Guest Services needs a lot of training.

I can only say for our experience, We had hard times showing up on time for any functions on ship due to scooter's that stop working.

Loved the layout. Just way to much guests on board. Common areas were clean and well-maintained. But not our cabin.

Cabin / Stateroom

To small, The mobile devices took up to much room and not enough closet space. The Steward needs a lot of training. He only cleaned our cabin twice for the week. I lived out of my suitcase all week.

If your handicapped or disabled stay home. Don't waste your money.

Yes, that's true, we do need the negative reviews and yes, a lot of times the fellow cruisers don't like to read those and they "attack" the reviewer, but other times I think some people put things out there on purpose to stir things up. Other times, as in this case, ppl asked him to clarify some comments and he never did.

Why would the OP come back when lots of you left unkind comments? . This review was of the OP's cruise NOT YOURS. We need the bad reviews to see what on a ship needs improvement. if only good reviews then reviews are useless. Attacking and being rude to people that give bad reviews will just stop people from giving reviews that are not all good.

My only complaint was the smoking areas were everywhere and smoke made it's way everywhere on the main pool/deck area.

The drivers and porters aren't cruise line employees so they don't get any part of the gratuity charge on your account. The gratuity charge is clearly explained on all cruise line websites

I get what your saying. I'm on the Breeze in 70+ days and love to cruise. On my last cruise I told my wife that from the time I parked the car I passed out money like it was Christmas. I tipped the guy who drove to to the port. I tipped the guy who wheeled our luggage to the baggage area. I do a lot of specialty restaurants and tipped the room steward accordingly. By the end of the cruise carnival put a gratuity charge on my bill. I tipped the guy who took my luggage through customs and to the curb. I tipped the driver who took us back to the car. Yes the tips are voluntary but I know these people don't make much and I appreciate good service and people who provide it. If I were on a tight budget trying to enjoy a vacation I might feel put upon also. People should be entitled to their opinions without being belittled.

Breeze was nice and we prepay Everything before we go! Excursions, dining etc and we save some back for extra tips! You only buy what you want to buy , nobody forces you or hounds you!

I don't understand the money comment either. We've been on many cruises with Carnival, including the Breeze last year and always have a great time. No one has ever asked for money, and we buy...or don't buy...what we choose. Same as anywhere we go. We budget our tips along with the rest of our vacation expenses and don't drink much, so there aren't "unexpected " charges on our account. Guest service personnel have been friendly on the few occasions we've gone there. Some people go on vacation just looking for things to complain about though. Sad !!

Had a great trip on the Breeze...cruised on Carnival several times and had a wonderful time each time. Don't really understand the money comment because gratuities left at the end of the week and the amount of money you spend during the trip is strictly your choice

Good news for you - there are lots of other cruise lines and ships afloat. You can find something better to your liking.

I never was pressured to give extra money to any of them, I was also on a budget and put a set amount on my Account so I wouldn't go over, and I never felt pressured to buy anything on the ship! And I also used Guest services a few times with no issues, those people have got to be so strong in dealing with all the difficulties and complaints from unhappy people!!

All they thought about was money? Strange comment considering they are a business. No one is forcing you to buy extras. Perhaps your looking for a free cruise line. Good luck.

My first cruise I have to admit money wise wasn't the greatest. I spend a lot on the boat and the put the same amount on hold in my bank account for almost a week. If I didn't call corporate a lot of my bills would have bounced. Now going forward I only do cash or a credit card I don't use.

going in another 37 days but keeping a open mind...I can see how this could feel burdensome when people come to start demanding tip regardless of the service received...people say they don't get much pay so I get it's the cruisers responsibility to pay them well especially when you're not paid well yourself.

While you're entitled to your opinion, I must disagree. I loved my cruise on the Breeze. The crew was simply the best. I loved it so much, I have another cruise booked in the Breeze. BTW - your profile doesn't show that you've taken any cruises
