Review summary

This was our second cruise and our first on a dream class ship.  Our first cruise was on the Victory which is a destiny class ship.  We will always love the Victory because it was our first but the Breeze was just awesome.  Loved the lay out and the ability to walkout anywhere on deck 5 and take a stroll outside on the deck which wraps completely around the ship. This is the big difference in the Dream class ships from other class ships. The only real drawback is if you have a balcony room on deck 6 mid-ship you may be looking right into a hot tub full of people. Most balcony rooms on other Carnival ships look straight down to the ocean but not his one. It does make for a strange evening if you and your wife or husband want to spend a quit evening on your balcony and there is a small party going on in the hot tub.  Other than that, the ship is just beautiful lots of room and the entertainment was great.  We really enjoyed the Red Frog Pub which you have not been on a ship with the pub on it you are missing out.  Great environment, awesome bartenders and the regular music and live music in the late afternoon is great!

Would we recommend the Breeze absolutely, you cannot go wrong!  Just remember if you book a balcony room make sure it is above deck 6 or you will have an audience.

Yes I agree the Sunshine while a nice try by Carnival to update an older ship it gets crowded at times. Just got back from an 8 day on the Sunshine, great trip but after you have been on a dream class ship you see the way the made he changes and really appreciate them. The deck 5 outside access really makes a difference.

we have been on the Breeze only once, but on the Dream about 5 times. In my opinion, the Dream class ships handle the crowds extremely well. I never felt as crowded on the Breeze or Dream as I did on Sunshine.

Glad to hear this. We have sailed on the Freedom several times and going on the Breeze in June. Super curious to see how this larger ship accommodates so many more passengers! We are balcony room, deck 8!

Love Lido deck rooms!

On our first cruise on the Dream we found the same thing about having a balcony on deck 6. Since that time we have found that we love being on the Lido deck and now, regardless of the ship, we book a balcony on Lido.
