Review summary

My favorite part on the cruise were the sea days.  You could sleep late, go on deck, read, soak up the sun rays or do any of the activity that were scheduled.  The buffet was a little crazy but there was a nice choice of different types of food.  I recommend purchasing the "cheers" packet.  It saves you a lot of stress and no surprises at the end of your cruise. All our excursion were booked through Carnival and they were all wonderful.  But I highly recommend the Turtle cove and cavern snorkel adventure.  The guide and driver were great, they provide water and snacks after our snorkeling and then a wonderful lunch with drinks in Cozumel.

One thing that was confusing was bring drinks on board.  We saw cases of soda, water and beer being brought on board.  From reading the procedure we were under the impression this was not possible.  This need more clarification prior to boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Overall very good. There should be more of a late night choice than just pizza. Please add "stevia" to your choice of sweeting packets. I don't artificial sweeteners. Stevia is all natural. Also we were not informed the "Cheers" package did not start on the same day of embarkation. The cabin breakfast menu, need more choices. Different fruit, soft or hard boiled eggs, smoked salmon, meat choices, soy or almond milk.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Of the ones we attended they were wonderful; however there should be more added toward different age groups.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was great, the seating venue was not. There were not enough seating for everyone and most of the guest either stood or left.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our Stewart was very nice and helpful. Staff were always friendly and helpful

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Overall the ship was clean, but the public bathrooms were not. The dinning area was cleaned very quickly of dishes and drinking cups. But on deck the processes was much slower and gave the ship a very messing look.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was lovely and a welcome sight. It did get stuffing or warm, but we requested a fan and it was ok.

Ship tip

Buy the "Cheers" package but be aware it doesn't start until you are at sea. Know that embarking and debarking is not very orgainzed. Get a balcony cabin, they are well worth the money. There are washers and dryers to do laundry if you want. Have fun!

I don't understand why Carnival makes every person above 21 in a cabin to purchase the "Cheers Package." My wife doesn't drink a lot of alcohol so it doesn't make sense to purchase two of them.

Even though I've sailed Carnival 4x, I read over the FAQs several times so I am familiar with everything.

their policy about bringing drinks and wine are right on the website.
