Review summary

Unfortunately this was not a great vacation. We did not get to go to Belize because of weather in Galveston Texas. The food on the ship was not good, staff was not very friendly, entertainment on ship was not good, two fights broke out on the ship and you are limited to 15 drinks a day.

Our room guy was amazing, had the room clean and always a new towel animal on the bed which was great since we had all the other problems on the ship.

Ship tip

I have been on 2 other Carnival ships and I would not recommend the Breeze.

We did not get to stop here. Bad weather weather in Galveston Texas made us only get a 6 day cruise instead of a 7 day cruise and this is the port they took out.

Booked the Breeze for October 2017. First time on Breeze (8th cruise). Last cruise was on the Glory. Poured rain everyday. Still had the best time! A vacation is what you make of it. Things are not going to be perfect. This is why it is called a vacation.

15 drinks only applies to the drink package And You can have a bottle sent to your room through room service

Been on the Breeze twice myself!! Loved it both times! If you complain about a cruise..then something wrong with you! Enjoy your family and friends and if you do not like the food or drink..go find something that you will enjoy elsewhere!

I cruised on the Breeze this past November and it was awesome. It rained everyday, and was storming when we arrived back in Galveston, but that did not ruin our vacation. The food was great, rather we ate in the dining rooms or on Lido, and the service from all the staff was outstanding. Sorry you didn't have a good vacation, but maybe next time your experience will be better. I've cruised with Carnival 3 times, and had a great experience each time.

I went on the Triumph and at the time of that cruise, whoever was cooking at Guys Burgers should not have been. Nasty, burnt and dried out. Hopefully the one on the Breeze is better. ð

I will just be happy to be on the Breeze and the hell out of Texas also hubby and I are renewing our vows while onboard. Ive NEVER out of 7 cruises with Carnival been on a bad ship and have never had bad food or bad service.

It's all how you look at it, not sure how ALL food can be not great, our last cruise was seven days of rain and wavy travel, we found the fun in watching a movie in the rain, laughing so hard, just blessed to be one vacation with family and friends. Sorry you didn't enjoy, we go on the breeze in June and I can't wait to eat me some guys hamburgers

Hi there. I was actually on this voyage with you. We, indeed, did miss a port of call in Belize. It was an act of nature - we can't help the Texas weather. It can be crazy. As for the food - I enjoyed every venue I dined at. Did you try the sushi restaurant (Promenade Deck 5, Mid Ships), The Steakhouse, or Cucina Del Capitano (Deck 11, Aft)? Yes, they are all additional to the fare; however the food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. In all the the "public" dining areas I found good service and wonderful food. From Blush to Sapphire dining rooms, to Guys Burgers, Pizza, Deli and the Indian food. I can agree that some of the entertainment wasn't that outstanding - but I did enjoy the shows in the Ovation Lounge and the performers in the Atrium. You can't help drunks being drunks when the fights broke out at the Casino Bar. I was there & saw both times. Alcohol was involved. As for the 15 drinks - it stated on the package (if you had one) or in the terms of the sailing. It's always good to read the fine print (or know from experience - as I do). As stated above - 15 drinks is quite a bit. I can understand your concerns; however, what I don't understand is why you rated 1 star. The ship was early to every port, we were kept informed via email and text about the departure delay from Galveston; the crew busted their tails for us. It's worth more than one star... just my opinion.

I will agree. the breeze is why I won't cruise with carnival again. even though ncl does nickel and dime you, I can still choose not to spend money.

You're stuck in port because of Mother Nature, fights broke out because of Human Nature, neither was because of the cruise.
