Review summary

The Carnival Breeze is a lovely ship with a terrific staff but the entertainment stinks.  I suggest that Carnival spend some money on some entertaining shows.

Do not book inside cabins on the 6th or 7th decks that are located above the theater.  We heard the music very loudly in the afternoon during rehearsals and in the evening when we didn't go to the show.  The second show doesn't end until 11:00 so don't even think about being able to sleep until it is over.  On Saturday night there was a brand new show and the bass was so loud in our cabin that we could feel the vibrations in the walls. It was awful!!!!

Enjoyed the Breeze my second cruise. I am scheduled to go out on the Breeze June 2017. With the Lord's blessing. I hope the entertainment will be different. At least the shows. I can wish. If not I will enjoy the cruise

I was on the Magic in February, and one of the employees was chatting with my hubby and me. She told us she preferred the Breeze above all the other Carnival ships, but that the shows on the Breeze weren't as good as on the other ships. On a side note, they are adding a country music show of some type soon on the Breeze!

dendy197...TY...I'm really excited to hear that Mike will be on in August. I've heard nothing but really good things about him and how he runs things. The 14th can't get here soon enough!!!!!

Next time use a C C L planner. Ask questions. I miss the Breeze. Great ship

Does anyone know who the current CD is or will be in August? I'm taking my daughter on her first cruise Aug 14th and she enjoys the theater/ musical like shows. I enjoyed Jen from my first and only cruise in May of 2014 on the Triumph. She could be a little obnoxious at times but then again that is what made her Jen. She was very friendly and all of the entertainment shows I saw were plenty enjoyable.

I understood exactly. You never book under the MDR or show rooms. Wade is correct. I think she wss advising. Holly was a bit harsh. Smh

What cabin were you in? We are booked on the 6th floor

I know lol. Don't let the narcissists drag you down. It's a known psychological trait that they feel empowered when you keep responding and egging them on.

With as many cruises as we've been on, I agree somewhat that entertainment has slipped in the main theatre over the years. Having said that, there still are some excellent shows. As for the noise complaint...my first thought was why try and go to sleep so early with all the fun happenings going on. But to each their own. Next time make sure you book a room with other cabins on each side of you, as well as above and below you.

I've heard great things about Dr E. I didn't realize the cruise director was responsible for the hiring of production show entertainers. They have a bigger responsibility than I realized.

Again it depends on the cruise director Dr E did the shows and entertainment through out the cruise that's what made the shows we saw very entertaining

As far as entertainment on the ship, I was referring to and I believe the original poster was also, the theater shows. I don't think they were up to par as with the other ships I've been on. Boring and we stopped going after the third night.

cruise4lf    8 years ago

Well last year Dr. E was the cd and entertainment was very good. I think it depends on the cruise director that makes a difference. Also, do a lot of researching before you book

We heard noise from theater on another Carnival ship , made a comment to Guest services and they gave me ship credit $$ . They were very generous

I agree with the entertainment on the Breeze. It was a big letdown from all our other cruises. It was our first one ever to be disappointed with. Hopefully it improves.

Before booking our cruises, we ensure we're in a spot where we are comfortable. Maybe you should have done a little more homework on where your room was prior to booking. Then, you might have not had such a poor time due to noise.
