Review summary

It was an ok cruise but not the best I have been on. Dining room food was not the best and our server was not as friendly as past servers. They charged us gratuity on everything that we bought on the ship and then charged us an additional $72 gratuity per person at the end of the cruise.

Always do a tip for room service. For some reason, I don't think they are included in the prepaid tips. And, we will tip extra, for example, if we feel our wait staff, room steward etc have gone above and beyond.

Gotta do your pre-cruise homework.

Oh but we always tip for room service. We use it a lot on carnival

If you did your good. If you feel additional tipping is necessary for good service then go for it. We always prepay as well so we don't have to deal with adding everything up gratuity wise. We tipped our steward Kevin on our last cruise because he opened up the partition between our 2 cove balconies. Made it for an awesome time when out on balcony. Didn't feel cramped

We prepaid our gratuities when we booked, so hopefully we don't have any issues next week.

Yeah most if not all cruises charge gratuity. It's in your contract. That is why we rarely give additional tips.
