Review summary

My wife and I are Platinum members with Carnival and have cruised on all the different classes of Carnival ships. However, the Carnival/Breeze did not impress us as much as it's sister ship, the Dream. It looks as if a different design team was in charge and were told to cut costs, as much as possible. In our opinion, the decor was not nearly as nice, not as much marble, etc. - looked cheap. We could not believe the quality of the food that was served - prime rib was too tough to chew. Guests all around us were requesting a different entre. For example, fried chicken, and that, too, was not up to Carnivals past standards. Entertainment in the Oviation Theatre was very high tech, not nearly as nice as previous enterainment. No band, extremely bright LED screens and recorded music was too loud, no Las Vegas style shows. We were not impressed with the changes Carnival has made. I truly hope, other Carnival ships will keep their band and not change to the high tech screen, etc. We have always looked forward to the great food and entertainment. Elevators were too small,, also, spent more time waiting for elevators to stop on requested floors. Not Good!! WHAT A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, AND MONEY NOT WELL SPENT.. We will not cruise or recommend cruising on the Carnival/Breeze or any other Carnival Ship that has this new high tech entertainment. Please bring back the live band and live performers, as in the past.

I understand. On our previous cruises they did have the band and the orchestra box you were talking about. Souljaz were great though! I am sure if you give them your input especially being a Platinum member they will do something to change it. One voice starts it all......

I am very happy that you enjoyed your cruise, however that little band was nothing compared to the full band that used to play on the other ships! The band used to rise and fall into the stage and played every night in the main theatre.Once you have seen and heard a great band then you really miss it..I guess Carnival had to start cutting costs. (Theatre and dining room)

Hi There was a band on the Breeze. They were called Love Souljaz and they were in the Ovation theater. Consuella and the band was awesome and was in the Ocean Plaza and did a Motown set in the Ovation theater. Also there were so many activities that we could not decide what to do first. Sorry to hear that you did not like your trip on the Breeze, my family of eleven and myself had a blast and met so many great people!
