After 2 days at sea, my wife got sick, she was infected with a ship borne disease, we had to go to the infirmary, get tested, they gave her some medicine, quarantined her for 24 hours. We had to miss our Cartegena tour, she stayed sick for another day, then I got sick, I puked, went to the bathroom over 20 times in the first day. I went to the infirmary, got tested and was quarantined for 24 hours. I remained sick for another day, missed our Lima CR trip and missed our Grand Carmen tour. Princess did credit us for the tours we missed. So, to sum this up, we missed 3 out of 4 tours, we were quarantined or excessive sick for 5 of the 10 days. We had a horrible cruise, no tours, just stay in your room. I believe we should be credited for at least half of the total cruise price, even if it was a credit toward a future cruise, anything.

Sorry to hear about your illnesses! I know someone else on this same ship who had that stomach bug (he thought it was food poisoning) and missed the last day in the Grand Caymens. His wife got it on the disembarkation day, fortunately they had just gotten home in Florida. It seemed to last for 2 days in each case.

People come up with new reasons to demand compensation. What is "ship borne disease "? There's a review by a couple who basically avoided any human contact and wore masks during their cruise and still fell sick with COVID. I hope you are well now.

Getting sick is no fun. Wouldn't it be great if we got paid every time we got sick in life? It would be nice if cruise lines gave a future discount but the contact we sign says they won't. My daughter tested positive for Covid onboard last year and she spent most of the week in quarantine. No symptoms at all but of course, no compensation.

Sorry you got sick, but it happens. Hopefully you had good trip insurance that may compensate you for any unreimbursed medical expenses. I’m not sure what else Princess owes you other than what they already refunded.

Why ? How is it the cruise lines fault you got sick ? Most illnesses have a 24 to 72 hour incubation period BEFORE you start to have symptoms so in all likelihood your spouse was sick BEFORE boarding and her symptoms began after boarding you caught it from her …. Did you purchase any kind of trip insurance?? Things happen it sucks but it is in no way the cruise lines fault .
