Review summary

Enjoyable and relaxing. Never went to bed so early or slept so late on any cruise. Food was good but not exceptional most nights with the exception of the steakhouse. Shows were amazing. Left me content with sticking to Carnival in the future without feeling I am missing out on anything. It is a MUCH older demographic however. There were literally on 2 guests below age 18 on the entire ship. I loved my second cruise in a row with no children, but wouldn't recommend for families at all.

Fast and efficient. For awhile the terminal was so empty we thought we were in the wrong place. Excellent system.

Food and Dining

Most MDR nights were lackluster, however the elegant night beef wellington and escargot was among the best meals I have had on any cruise. The steakhouse was amazing and such a bargain. The Italian specialty restaurant was terrible sadly. Much better on Carnival.

Onboard Activities

Not much to do compared to Carnival, with the exception of a fun charm gathering activity throughout the week. Never slept so much on a cruise in my life. Relaxing, but not exactly exciting.

Entertainment

Hands down the best show I have ever seen. The guest soprano was amazing. Goose bumps for 45 minutes. Bravo. Not to be missed.

Really liked the walk in closet separated from the bathroom. Came in handy.

Ship tip

Was expecting it to blow away Carnival, but it really didn't surpass it other than the theater shows. Enjoyable and I will do again if given another free one, but wouldn't pay for one.

How do you get free cruises? Lucky! Great review. I agree totally about Princess compared to Carnival. I believe there really isn't that much difference between the mainstream lines. Princess is relaxing, Carnival has a lot of games. The food, service, etc is pretty comparable. Glad to hear the entertainment was so good on Princess, years ago they were lacking in that category. I'll be on this ship in a couple months, it's older so hopefully still in good shape. I'm not expecting much.
