Review summary
My husband and I were really looking forward to a relaxing cruise. It was anything but that. To begin: 1. the food was very sub standard. We heard many complaints. We ate at the specialty restaurant 4 times to get a good meal. Very disappointing. 2. The pool was freezing!!, I would compare the temperature to the first time time you open your pool in the springtime in New England. There was maybe 2 or 3 brave souls in the water. 3. The cruise line stated the boat was having some bnb engine issues that did not effect the safety of the ship just the speed of the ship. A few times we had to have a tug boat pull us out if port. Many people on board thought that they may have been pulling resources from other places on the ship to support the engine issue. 4. We had air conditioning in our room the first day after that it seemed warm in the room regardless how many times you turned the air conditioner down. 5. We attempted to get in the hot tub but refused to enter because of the slime on top. That was at 9 am. The fitness facility was also sub standard. There were 10 elipicals and many more treadmills. You were not allowed to use the treadmills until 10 am because there were rooms below. We would arrive at CVthe gym at 6 am and all elipicals were taken. It seems logical with bnb a ship bn of that size they would have more cardio machines other than treadmills( which no one ever seemed to be on after 10 am. I can go on and on but those are the highlights. We had a employees on the ship who were wonderful but most were rude. We were booked on the Carribean Princess in a suite on December 19th for a Christmas Cruise with 19 other people and had 15 bbn other friends booked on a November cruise. We have all cancelled our cruises and looking elsewhere. Will never cruise Princess again.Embarkation
