We just returned from a wonderful week on the Caribbean Princess out of the Port of Houston. We visited Cozumel, Roatan and Belize. The service and staff were outstanding. Smiling faces from the time we embarked through the disembarkation. We were on the exact same week a year ago on the Emerald Princess.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We did anytime dining. It was ok, but will go back to traditional dining next cruise. We like to have the same wait staff each evening. Anytime dining did not give us the opportunity to get to know the staff. We did not do any of the specialty dining. The selections, quality and the service in the main dining room are more than enough to pamper us for the week. The buffet had great selections and the quality was good. Pizza, hamburgers etc. were all very good.
Onboard Activities

Plenty to choose from. Something for everyone.
Entertainment

Great shows each night and very talented. Especially enjoyed the comedian Carl Strong.
Service and Staff

Michael, our cabin steward was outstanding. He went way above and beyond the call of duty. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Some previous reviews talk about the condition of the ship. Yes, it is apparent that it is time for it to go in for a re-furbish, which is scheduled for 2017. But, there was on going work happening all week long. New deck carpet, painting and more. Not a problem for us.
Thanks for the info we are traveling in the Caribbean Princess in December and have heard conflicting reports about the ships condition. Nice to hear something positive!
Something changed, a year ago we were on this ship and it was the worst service of any ship we've been on. Had to get our own drinks every time. Room staff was bad also. The plus side was the ship was nice and it was clean.
That's good to hear, we sailed in 2014 and I don't remember one time a wait staff took our drink order by the pool, I don't even recall seeing any wait staff, I had written them off but maybe I will give them another shot, thanks for the positive review.
