Review summary

We have traveled with Princess before and expected top notch service, as well as, excellent food variety and taste. We were very disappointed with their food choices onboard Caribbean Princess. While we understand this was a short cruise, still doesn't excuse the limited choices in their dinning rooms and the bland taste of the food offered.

Disappointed with their Atrium, expected much more, it was very unattractive. While we'll give Princess another chance, it won't be onboard this ship.

Took shore excursion that included one of the Mayan ruins with beach break. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable; very pleasant experience. The beach break was not what we expected, very ugly waters, totally uninviting. Lunch was a buffet style with only one choice; I would suggest they add options to the menu. Paying $6 for coconut water....geez...that was outrageous...should have asked prior to ordering!

I've only done the Carribean Princess once before; but I gotta think part of the problem is that everyone wants to put down Carnival and say every other line, including Princess, is better. This seems to lead to too-high expectations. I do think the food and the perqs are better, but not by much. The ship itself is an older design and just doesn't compare well with ships like the Carnival Magic.

so you went on a cruise to relax..get away from the hussel and bussel of every day life. A four day cruise leaving from probably close to home...and with the three upgraded resturants,, dining room, and buffets...you couldn't or wouldn't find anything to eat.... i was on that ship...enjoyed the service..the food is across the board fair...but plenty of it....I enjoyed the wide range of choices in the buffet. with both sides of the buffet serving something different..great idea. The atrium is restricted to three levels due to the way the cabins are set up...but a quaint meeting place to watch jugglers..violinist..music...and a nice drink was nice. If your traveling for the finest atriums..you are limiting cruise experience....Just Saying!!. We had a wonderful time..thanks Princess...
