the cruise itself was adequate but the service, food, condition of ship were not up to Princess' standards

this was our first cruise and we enjoyed ourselves. although we had nothing to compare against, we thought some of the food, condition of this ship (carribbean princess) were suspect (which was later confirmed by conversations with very seasoned ELITE Princess cruisers who said they love the Princess cruise line but felt that this particular cruise was not done to their normal high standards...the service seemed distracted (from waitstaff to housekeeping to ship maintenance). we were hoping for a 4 star cruise and felt this one fell short. although disappointed that we missed out on the  known "Princess high level of service), we're open to try another of their cruises...just not on the Carribbean Princess.

Ship Quality
there were wet paint signs, light construction going on throughout the ship during the duration of our cruise
Food and Dining
the dinner food was hit or miss in the main dining rooms. breakfast was very good.
Service and Staff
there was only 1 wait staff on the ship that stood out to us. he worked in the music lounge next to guest services. i believe his name is James.
the entertainment on board was high quality and interesting, especially the music.
Children's Programs we didn't have children on board with us.
Onboard Activities
the sanctuary and day at sea activities were fun. the cyber golf area was not working, which was a disappointment.
Destinations and Excursions
the americas cup excursion in cozumel was fantastic (worth the cost of the cruise).
Cabin / Stateroom
the room was nice.
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
George Town, Grand Cayman
rent bikes and ride to the turtle farm.
Cozumel, Mexico
the americas cup excursion is a must do!

book The Sanctuary when you first board the ship. remember that gratuities are already included when you purchase the drink package.
