Review summary

We left in a hurricane, and the television coverage of the hurricane in NY showed the ship leaving and amazement that we were doing so. Some people apparently chose not to sail. No problems for us. Some rocking and rolling, but she's a big ship and took the waves pretty well.I had dramamine, which I only needed the first two days.People we encountered were faring well.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food in the dining rooms was disappointing. Bland and overcooked in the English tradition, although the soups were oversalted. Interestingly, the food at the buffet was better prepared and better quality. We loved Sabatini's, which is well worth the $20pp supplement. Food and service there were outstanding.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The musical reviews in the theater were excellent.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Can't say much, as there were not many children on board.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we encountered was friendly and eager to help.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
loved this ship. Good size, big, but not overwhelming. Clean, neat, no signs of excessive wear carpets looked new; furnishings looked new, like the ship may have had a recent make-over.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Small, but not too small. Mattresses were a little too soft. Limited space for unpacking. Shower was decent size. room was neat and clean and housekeeping was efficient and friendly.

Pros: Ship itself, friendly staff, entertainment

Cons: food in dining rooms, smoking in casino
