Just got back from our week long sail on the Caribbean Princess. This was our first time on princess and we were impressed. This is the biggest ship we have sailed on, which made for a smoother experience. Even on the one day we had some bad weather you wouldn't have even known unless you were on the deck and saw the rain and waves. Watching a movie while in the pool was also a new experience we enjoyed. They showed some fairly new movies, but also some oldies but goodies. The ship was very clean and the staff very friendly and professional, they seemed to be having as much fun as we did! Although we did not try out the spa services, we did use the gym which had enough equipment that we never had to wait to use our favorites. Our cabin steward was excellent. It seemed as if the only time we saw her was when we needed something, but you definitely knew she had been there! Even if we went back to the cabin for only 45 minutes to rest between events, when we came back the bed was always remade, and the bathroom freshened. The only thing we didn't enjoy as much as on previous cruises was Anytime Dining. In the past we would have specific seating times with the same wait staff. They really went out of their way to make dinner not only pleasant but fun. With anytime dining, we made reservations for specific times, but the staff seemed more concerned with getting the tables cleared out if there were a lot of people waiting. Next time we would definitely chose an assigned seating. Overall this was the best cruising experience we have had and will definitely sail princess again.

Pros: The ship was so big, you didn't feel any excessive motion.

Cons: Anytime dining. I missed getting to know the wait staff and having them go the extra mile because they knew you would be back again.

Recommends Caribbean Princess? Yes!

We did an underwater scooter excursion. The boat ride to the site alone was worth the price. We laughed the whole time. And to be able to "scuba" without diving was an eye opening experience. We always like to try at least one new thing when we cruise, and we really did pick the best!

We went horseback riding, a first for us. When we arrived, we thought that we had made a mistake booking this excursion. It seemed disorganized and not at all what we expected. But we ended up having a great time! The guides were great and very knowledgeable. As first timers we were a little uneasy, but they put us at ease very quickly.
