Review summary

Port of Tampa is the best in Florida! On the Brilliance of the Seas you will be able to experience a lot of really nice amenities, design, art and features that simply are not possible on newer ships. This is my all time favorite ship as comfort and curiosity are actually afforded.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Port of Tampa cruise terminal and staff are top notch for the country. Clean and quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Windjammer and Giovannis were perfect. Main dining room and diamond lounge leave me reminiscent of a decade ago where quality and attention to detail were par to none. They used to make us customers feel Really special. Now I feel we are just a number. Drinks were great, especially at the Scooner Bar. Food was also great, but most dishes were underseasoned while cooked perfectly (supply issue?)

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
With my 4yo boy we did the water slide, splash pad, mini-golf, arcade(2 age appropriate games), shuffle board, ping-pong, pool, billiards, checkers, karaoke, art auction, and the best part of the ship on the helipad! We loved it all! Beautiful ship and everything was nice!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I sat in the Schooner Bar whenever there were musicians and the vibe was excellent.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
4yo boy loved a few hours in the kids club to socialize. Staff is very professional.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent service. Excellent staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
This is and has always been my favorite ship in the fleet. Being within 5min of everything is so nice! There's so much detail and intimacy. From bow to stern you can explore! lean on the rail over the bow like Rose in everyone's favorite cruise film. Sit with a bev in the Colony club hanging over the the trail of bubbles leading to nothing but the past. The Brilliance is the perfect ship for a young family because it won't leave you exhausted by lunch time.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Nice and clean and comfortable. Bed and pillows were nice.

Ship tip

Tip 1/1.. know your elevators. the easiest way around this ship is at the forward elevator.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
Clean, efficient and friendly. It typically takes 20min from unloading luggage to stepping off the gangway. I love it!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Port is lively and clean. Plenty to do.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As easy as boarding.
