Review summary

I would do this cruise again. It was effortless and it's a nice getaway. Grand Cayman and Cozumel are two good ports to explore.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
So long as you pre register online and get your boarding document, this is painless! We are platinum level so there was no wait. I did see there was a line for general boarding. We arrived at 11 am at Tampa port

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food isn't gourmet but when cooking for a large cruise ship, it was good for us! One night my husband had to return the pork, he said it was very tough. They gave him another entree no problem and quickly. Also my husband liked the Indian food and they always asked him if he wanted something special.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We only went to the Solarium pool and you have to arrive early to get a lounge chair. I did listen to a lecture but I didn't like they tried to sell you on an algae product and the health scan.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I liked it. We went to the musical shows. There was a comedian but he was ok. The second night they billed it as a comedian so we skipped it. Heard he was a juggler and we would've liked that so the description should've been more detailed.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I thought our dining staff was a 5 star. I only gave this 4 because our steward was supposed to give us an extra mattress for the bunk and she said within 30 minutes. It was 1.5 hours and I called. She was in the next room gabbing with a guest!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is not too big like the Oasis of the Seas etc. I love those ships as there's a lot to do but this ship, although smaller, was easy to navigate and get from the theater to the dining room quickly.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I like that there's no window, it's great for sleeping. It is tight. We managed for the three of us. Of course those shower's are tight!!

Ship tip

We have been on longer cruises and did try the specialty restaurants. Maybe try just one. Also, for formal night, on the five day cruise, there was no lobster or anything special on the menu. You can look at the menu by the dining room earlier in the day. So we ate upstairs in Windjammer which as a variety of foods for everyone. On the five day cruise, you don't have to pack a formal outfit. You're on vacation, be comfortable and skip the dining room on formal night.

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
We liked Stingray city, the turtle sanctuary and to Hell and back. Not too long of a day. Bring your own underwater camera to take photos. They try and sell the ones they took and for 2 people in the photo it was $50 and for three in the photo it was $67. Why the upcharge for three subjects. All done electronically so they e mail your photos. We skipped the purchase of photos and my photos were fine. DO NOT bring your cell phone in the water...it will get wet!!!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
My husband and daughter did the ATV and snorkel and enjoyed it. I walked around the port. I didn't need to take a taxi to downtown. I felt there was enough at the port.

Disembarkation

Again, painless and quick. We walked off the ship with our luggage.
