Review summary

This was a great trip! With a two and seven year old I would not say relaxing but lots of fun. The crew were all absolutely amazing! I can’t say enough good things about them. My only complaint is I wish it was longer!!

Embarkation

Very organized, got there around 10 and on ship around 10:45.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Did my time dining for the first time but had the same wait staff each day! Food was good and if there was something that someone didn’t love other options were provided. Buffet was good but breakfast got old so MDR on sea days was a nice change. Only did one specialty dining and food was very good!

Cafe Latte-Tudes

5 out of 5

Each time we went here the staff were so wonderful!! Always smiling and cheerful. My children loved going there with us as the staff would joke with them every time.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Smaller ship with less to do overall but also traveled with two kids one of which was only 2 so that limited activities anyway. Spent a lot of time at the kids pool and did play mini golf.

Art and Photo Gallery

5 out of 5

The photo gallery staff and photographers were very kind and helpful!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Saw Jimmy Hopper and he was amazing. Also loved the string trio and tried to find them whenever and wherever they were playing. There was a band playing in the centrum on formal night and my husband and daughters were dancing, so sweet!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My older daughter who is 7 loves the kids program and wanted to stay late every night. Unfortunately the two year old was not having any of being in the nursery. The staff did try very hard but after 15 minutes they called and said she was not calming down. Totally not their fault and we tried going back another time and it was the same situation so unable to use the nursery.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff are what made this cruise absolutely wonderful!! The smaller ship had less to do but the staff overall made up for anything that was missing. Our room steward was phenomenal and head waiter was wonderful. Also bartenders and photographers made an impression! I can’t say enough how wonderful everyone was on board!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Things were very well kept and clean. My only thought is there should have been a spot to deposit used glasses on the pool deck as there seemed to be glasses everywhere when it was very busy. Maybe people would not put them where they belong anyway but when I tried to find a place to put mine I soon realized why there were glasses sitting out.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had two connecting interior rooms and was very pleasantly surprised with the space! Plus having the second bathroom was a nice perk!

Ship tip

A smaller ship may not have all the extras but leaving from Tampa was wonderful and going under the bridge was fun. The staff were amazing and loved all the glass. You were able to see the ocean from most common areas!

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
No official excursion but did arrive a day early and took the water taxi around town. When we got off the ship we basically had the entire day in Tampa so we walked from the port to the aquarium. They had a room that we could store our luggage in and then enjoyed the entire day there. We toured the aquarium, watched a couple of the shows, ate lunch, the kids played at the splash pad and playground, and finally did the dolphin excursion in the bay and saw many wild dolphins!

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Very clean city and nice people. We went to the turtle farm and played at the pool a little and then went snorkeling in the lagoon. This was amazing and totally underrated! I wish we had gone there right away! Went to Hell and this was a tourist trap as expected but still pretty cool to see the formations.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We have been to Cozumel a few times but this time we did the Atlantis submarine tour and it was truly amazing! I went in with fairly low expectations as I am a scuba diver but it totally blew me away!! I would say it was worth the price! We saw tons of fish, rays, and a couple of sea turtles as well as a sunken ship that is creating an artificial reef.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
No issues at all. Everything went smoothly.
