Review summary

While we had a great time, I wouldn't go on this ship again or take Royal Caribbean again. We've been on RCCL a few other times, and it was all spectacular. This time the food was mediocre with a lot of carb-based dishes. The little bit my daughter and I drank, the drinks were watered down. At $13 a pop before gratuity, MAYBE there was a half shot of rum in each of our pina coladas. This is unacceptable. Even the iced tea was flavorless and very weak - this is usually not hard to make wrong.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was excellent besides the bed. It was very, very clean, spacious with a lot of storage space include the balcony. The biggest downfall was the bed. It was horrible, and the mattresses needed to be updated/changed out. I sleep on my sides, and it was very uncomfortable because any where that I laid on it felt like I was laying on rods. I asked our cabin steward if there was an egg foam or something like that could be placed on top of the mattress, and he said RCCL doesn't offer that anymore. As a last resort, the last two nights I doubled up the comforter which provided a little more cushion, and I was able to sleep better. One of the reason you go on vacation is to catch up sleep, etc. and this bed was way far from that. I find it unacceptable that Royal Caribbean did not have something like this to offer guests.

Ship tip

I would find a different ship because I didn't find anything outstanding on this one.
