Yes, as long as everyone you want to communicate with is on the same reservation. You would be able to connect to Wifi for free use of the Royal app, and to click the link on the app to send messages back and forth to those on your reservation. If you have any issues, just stop by the Internet Desk and they'll assist you. Enjoy!

Royal app works on the ship wifi. We used it with our table friends. We also used it with each other. Sometimes regular I message works between I phones but not always. Remember to stay airplane mode.

Yes you can chat through the app. In the right corner there are 3 dots. You click on that to chat and connect with others you are onboard with. You just need their room number and when you request they will accept and you can chat with each other. You do not have to have the internet plan to use that feature.

We sailed on Brilliance in April and again in August and had no problems with the Wi-Fi. We were able to stream shows and movies on our laptop with no issues. Now that Royal has Starlink the days of crappy wifi on ships are gone.
