Review summary

Finally made it after two year delay. Didn’t disappoint. Things almost feel fully back to normal, no masks or other covid restrictions, so it was just lovely. It was so good to be back at sea, I loved every minute of it.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth. Arrived in Malta, collected luggage, dropped it off to the bus and we were taken straight to the port. Answered a few health questions then we were admitted onto the boat. All very painless!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Ate in MDR all but one night. Every one of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, not one bad meal.

Sindhu

5 out of 5

We were lucky to get a reservation, it was fully booked for the whole week. Was only able to book maximum of 6 people on the app but went and saw them in the restaurant and they were able to accommodate 2 more as it was a birthday meal. The food was phenomenal. It’s no longer a set cover charge, you pay per item but it actually worked out cheaper. The staff were excellent too.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There was a vast array of activities to choose from everyday, if you could tear yourself away from the pool and the sunshine!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Enjoyed Tom Binns the comedian and Astonish

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Didn’t actually use but I had signed up my wee one before i went so got the info in my cabin and there certainly seemed to be plenty to do for kids. Also the night nursery was back up and running which is great news if you wanted to use it.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Almost all staff were brilliant. Pool staff I would say slightly let it down. Not enough of them, there was one guy who was quite short with people and none of them seemed to want to serve children. Any young person who went to the bar would be left until absolute last to get a drink it was actually a shame to watch.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Decent size for an inside cabin. Even when upper bed was down it didn’t feel cramped. Lots of storage space and the walk in wardrobe is great

Ship tip

If you’re going peak summer and want to book speciality restaurants you literally have to do it as soon as you get onboard as you aren’t able to prebook before you go at the minute. We managed to get Sindhu but no luck with the beach house as we didn’t realise you book that as you never used to.

Ports of call

Heraklion

5 out of 5
Walked in to town which is about 15 minutes away along the port. Lovely town, we went to the market and stocked up on olive oil and honey.

Rhodes, Greece

5 out of 5
We got off and hopped in a taxi to the water park at Faliraki, a day for the kids. Really good water park for all ages

Mykonos, Greece

3 out of 5
Expensive and overrated

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As smooth as embarkation. Meet point was the meridian restaurant where we were told what would happen. Waited to be told to board a bus and that was it.
