Review summary

having only had experience with ocean cruises, this was a good opportunity to "get our feet wet (not literally)" with river cruises, and, it could have not been better. We were in the "older" Avalon Affinity, but it was in fantastic shape, everything worked exactly as expected, down to the wonderful shower.

The meals were wonderful. mini complaint that soft drinks were extra at breakfast. (Seriously?)

Believe there are no bad cabins on our level, you have a view to the outside. It was a little disconcerting in Vienna because the cabin was at street level, which seemed to take away from a sense of privacy and/or safety. People were literally walking 3 feet from us.
