Review summary

As a first cruise it was great experience and gave me a good insight of what to expect with the 14 night one I have booked.

Embarkation

Very quick! First time cruising, staff at Southampton friendly and helpful. No queue and was on board within about 15 minutes from start to finish.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Staff were very good making sure everyone washed their hands before entering the buffet. Because of the gastro issues staff were at the buffet stations serving you.Not a lot of choice in buffet and virtually the same every day. Bland and boring. Best meal was breakfast. Food in the Meridian restaurant was ok, nothing special.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools and jacuzzis lovely. Partner did the archery which he enjoyed. Enjoyed the golf nets. Lots of groups enjoying the otger activities, great to see so many smiling faces.

Entertainment

Silent disco, quizzes, bingo.....amazing!! Fantastic band in the Crows Nest.

Service and Staff

Excellent, couldn't do enough for you. Very friendly and warm.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is a bit tired and shabby in areas but is absolutely spotless.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Like some of the ship, it was tired looking but very clean and well laid out. If I'm honest for me it was a bit small. If we were on a longer cruise I would choose a balcony which is what I have gone for on our next one. For 3 days it was fine.
