Overall we enjoyed the cruise but as it was an adults only Christmas cruise with the average age of passengers being 76 we felt as we are mid 60s a little bit too young. We would go on the ships again but not at Christmas.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was very good. Had to wait about 30 mins after check in before we could board.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was excellent . Service was very good . We went to Sindhu once and as usual it was a very nice meal. Buffet was OK if a bit repetetive.I wish they could make toast 🤣
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
N/A we did not take part in any activities
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Headliners and the group pulse were very good. Only went to the Theatre once found it too claustrophobic for my liking.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service as always was excellent. The crew are always so hardworking.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Aurora is a very well laid out ship. It was very clean but she is an old lady and is showing her age. The smell of sewerage in some areas of the ship us not pleasant.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
The cabin was spacious . Lots if storage. The balcony was a bit on the small side. Bathroom was also small and had a shower over bath. Our toilet kept getting blocked we had to keep reporting it but it was a ship wide problem not just us.
We love Lisbon. We walked from the ship to the main shopping area. After buying some gifts we got one of the hop on hop off buses. We stayed on the whole time approx 2hrs it was very Interesting. We then got off at the top of town and walked down to our favourite cafe for a coffee and pasta del nata
We anchored in the bay on New year's Eve and watched the amazing fireworks display but unfortunately it was too windy the next morning for the tenders so we couldn't go ashore.
Actual disembarkation from the ship was fine but the free for all in the baggage hall was not good. Not the ships fault more people not having spacial awareness and getting in other people's way.
