Review summary

Arcadia is one of my favourites, it is clean, spacious and elegant as well as well thought out. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and they are happy to assist. The food was excellent as always in the MDR and Ocean Grill. Our mini suite on D deck was perfect as it was clean and spacious it definitely had an element of luxury. The itinerary was interesting and different. The entertainment was also very good. Sometimes Christmas cruises can sometimes fall below the usual standard however I couldn’t fault Arcadia and her crew.

We did not use the pools this time as we were in the Baltic at Christmas. We took part in a dance class on board which was fantastic.

Entertainment

The sail aways were very good, not too overcrowded. We attended a couple of talks on board which were very interesting. The headliners team were also great.

All staff were friendly and helpful. We he future cruise and loyalty team were very helpful in assisting me with my next cruise. Our cabin steward was friendly and efficient.

Arcadia is one of my favourite ships, clean, spacious and elegant.

Excellent mini suite. Spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable and the extra benefits are great (champagne, chocolates and flowers).

Ship tip

Bring your own tablets, toiletries and plasters as they are expensive in the on board shops.

Trust me there was a problem with sewage smells around midship inside public areas.

Phillpots, I’ve been on Arcadia 6 times and I’ve never noticed it before, I did a few laps in December and I didn’t notice an smell so it must have been cleared. I know that there were reports of a smell of sewage on Azura’s promenade as well.

My wife and I had a wonderful cruise this time last year. Only spoilt by problems in midship by smell from sewage. Had they fixed that problem when you were on her?
